I don't get the point of Red Dead Redemption II

Yeah. I think it´s a bad game.

And I thought it would end up being my GOTY.

It´s boring, it´s clunky, it´s slow and at times it barely works.


I think it´s the most beautiful open world I have ever seen though.

I hope they do something cool with zombies or aliens or whatever in the future.

At this point I´ve pretty much written the game off.

the "pacing" is fine btw, if you are not dicking around you can finish the main story in about 30hours. it is a slow burner, not every game has to be gaming fast food which is digested by everyone. i really think this is a game which will grip people if they play further and experience the whole story.

Has to be more than 30 hours easy. I'm 32% story complete with just under 36% overall complete and I'm closing in on 22 hours.

I'm not giving up on it. I've heard people say end of chapter 3/ chapter 4 is where things kick into high gear. and I'm sure the payoff will be there. I also need to spend more time in the world.

Clearly it's not for you and you shouldn't play it anymore.

Force yourself, OP. It'll click eventually. I'm still forcing myself 85 hours in. It'll happen eventually. I just know it.

If you're not enjoying it, then don't play it? It's not rocket science.

Since I've been here most people always praise gameplay over story or whatever, seeing a lot of people giving this game a pass cause everything else is great. only 10 hours in but the little gameplay that have played is so boring, shooting and controls are the worse and I can't understand the force slow walking in th camp it makes me not wanna go there ever, yet in other games people hate force slow walking but not seeing it brought a lot on here

Stop playing it? Your post history shows you really like telling people how much you don't like Red Dead yet you keep playing.
