Technically I'll be getting it Friday since I caved and preordered the Collector's Edition, but.....yeah, I'm getting it. I'm really excited for it.

Maybe later on. Started the first season the other day and it's much more difficult than I had anticipated.

I will be.

I'm loving red dead, but I expect I'll wrap up the story this week. Zero interest in going for 100% completion, so I think I'll be ready for a new game.

I bought Hitman 1 on sale a while ago and still haven't played it so this will have to wait

I played the first one so much I'm kinda burned out and don't really feel like I need a sequel just yet. Will probably pick it up in a release lull sometime between Jan-April when I've got nothing else to play.

You and me might be the only ones who feel like that. I actually loved the introductory boat and army base levels and felt let down as I realized all the other levels were humongous sandboxes. I still haven't finished the game because of this and will not buy the new Hitman until it's very cheap and I won't regret it.

Yeah, this is one of the few games where I don't get the hype whatsoever. Usually with popular games I'll at least have a "Not my thing but I can see why people like it" reaction, but Hitman was just boring.

I felt the same exact way, I think it would be fine if they went a little bigger but the intro boat level was great. Still room for experimentation, you can still play it multiple times and be surprised by new areas, weapons, disguises, etc. but it's contained enough that you can find everything without hints and it's not possible to wander around for minutes at a time finding nothing of note.

Maybe in a decade I can create my own dream hitman by just playing the initial level or two of each release.

The game becomes very, **very** easy once you learn the basic rules of NPC behaviour and such. Don't think of it as realistic, think of it like a puzzle, and you will see the Matrix.
(SA/SO runs on some maps and some escalations will still be pretty hard though)

On topic, I got me the Gold Edition a while ago. 3 days left!

I rarely preorder collectors editions but I grabbed the one for this. Can't wait, but I do hope it feels a little bit more substantial of an upgrade from the first Hitman and not just a Season 2
There will be some refinements, sure, but everything points at this is absolutely being "just" a Season 2, and I wouldn't (and don't) expect it to be bigger or better than S1 in most regards.

Hi alls, did some light searching on Google, the official game site, & Reddit- is this game like the last release? Online connection required?

Thanks!

No, because I already bought it :D

More than that, IO proved themselves so well with the Hitman 2016 episodic rollout/post release stuff, I felt completely confident to buy the Gold version outright.

Looking forwards to it!

Already bought the Gold edition months ago. Don't know if I'll actually get to play it soon, but at least it will be ready to go when I get the time.

I thought this was December for some reason, and I'm really dragging my feet with RDR2.

The sequel to one of my favorite games of 2016, I'll definitely be getting it this year for PC.

I rarely buy games day one, but I'll definitely buy Hitman 2 later. I really enjoyed Hitman 2016.

Hard to say, because I still have a lot of RDR2 left before finishing with the game. I may not get Hitman 2 at launch, but I'm definitely planning to play it before the year's end.

I bought Hitman 2016 a few months back which I will play once I've finished Spiderman, I'm not a fan of having multiple games on the go.

If I enjoy it I'll pick up Hitman 2018 six months down the line.

When can we expect reviews? With the early release of some versions we should at the very least have a ton of footage this weekend.

I'm not sure. I don't know if I really want to play it or not. I keep himming and hawing.

Reason being is Hitman Absolution was my favourite of the previous ones that I've played, and though I own it Hitman Season One DE has yet to be played so I'm not sure if I'll like this new series. I hope to play it soon, but have been both busy and burned out. I thought I would get to it over the summer but didn't.

I'm worried I'll start it and it won't be for me. I wanted to like Hitman 2, the one after it and Hitman: Blood Money, going so far as to preorder it and get a t-shirt that I still have from Blockbuster. But while my friends loved it, it wasn't really for me.

Nope.

They a big fuzz about removing Denuvo from the previous one when they got it back, and now the sequel has Denuvo again.
Gonna wait for a sale price, partly because of that.

Hitman was my fave game of 2016, so I hope I'll be able to get this pretty soon. I don't have a lot of cash right now, is the issue.

I am. IO is the type of developer we need to support as they make intelligent games that aren't comparable to anything else out there.

I've asked for Xmas but I know it's being preordered. I virtually never buy launch games but I do want to support H2.

Prepurchased the Gold edition, ready to start playing on the 9th. Never bought a $100 edition of a game before, but IO has immediately earned that degree of confidence from me.

This, dropped those $100 bucks as hard as I could when the game was announced, IO more than deserves that money after the enjoyment I had from Hitman 2016.

I loved the first one and I will buy the sequel. It's just the November is too busy. I'm just on Chapter 2 in RDR 2 and I want to play Spider-Man at last. Gonna pick it up in December.

I will avoid it so I can tell my parents to buy the Gold Edition when they inevitably ask me "what do you want for Christmas?". Usually do that with a game every year.
