It tears me up that I love Ariana so much but hate so much of her music. She's usually good for about 2-3 songs per album that really resonate with me. This title track isn't one of those songs unfortunately, but I'm always hopeful every time she puts out an album

The song is at least a month old. A snippet of a version with different production can be heard in the first 5 seconds of this video, which was uploaded to YouTube on October 8th:

But this isn't a quick song they made in the last couple of days in a response to Pete or something. They probably just rewrote a couple of lines.

This is only happening because everyone thought this was a petty diss song about Pete Davidson.
The demo just leaked. The lyrics seem to be pretty much exactly the same though, even though this version is from (at least) early October. So it's not a reply to Pete's SNL stunt at all. This was always the song that was supposed to come out.
I'm exhausted by the whatever the fuck is happening in this thread already but I like the song. I need to get Sweetener at some point and listen to it.
Some weird shit is going on. A lot unreleased Ariana material showed up on Apple Music and Spotify. The Apple Music link is already offline, but it's still live on Spotify. Check it out fast if you're interested, 'cause this will probably be removed very soon. It's not exclusively Ariana and it's in pretty poor audio quality, but this is weird as hell...
