The bigger threat for Trump than losing control of Congress is Robert Mueller'slooming report. Sources say Trump advisers are girding themselves for Mueller to deliver the results of his investigation to the Justice Department as early as Wednesday, although it's more likely he'll wait till later this month. Sources say besides the president, the ones with the most exposure are Roger Stone and Donald Trump Jr."I'm very worried about Don Jr.," said another former West Wing official who testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee. The possible exposure would be that Mueller would demonstrate that Don Jr. perjured himself to investigators when he said he didn't tell his father beforehand about the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting to gather "dirt" on Hillary Clinton. (Donald Trump Jr.'s lawyer, Alan Futerfas, declined to comment.)

A lot more at the link, but man, this will be *sweet*.

Impeach if old.

New Yawk City!
This article is not without value, but this is more of a social diary article to me. It's talking about gossip, or maybe informed speculation, from people over drinks at a send-off party. But how do they know a Mueller report, or major update, is due in November? Who is going to leak that to someone in Trumpworld? Surely not the special counsel's office because they're pretty watertight...

Highly misleading thread title. It's Trump officials expecting results, which they've been saying for literally over a year. Not any actual credible source saying it's coming.

The Article has nothing to even begin suggesting they have a clue. They are basically repeating White House "concerns" the same white house that has repeatedly claimed to speak for the Investigations schedule. remember when it was wrapping up over the summer?

Donald Rumsfeld would call this a known unknown.
Sure, but all these sources are trumpkins freaking out. Assumptions and all that.

Best indicator of what will go down with Mueller is actually the senate election. If Ds take the senate, expect quiet for a while. If it remains as is, expect maybe a few weeks of quiet as Trump milks the questionnaire him and Rudy have been holding onto from Mueller until after elections. If Rs pick up seats, expect resignations and restructuring of the DoJ to try and shut Mueller down.

I really doubt it. "The day after the election" was always going to be a prediction from some outlet.

I feel like they've said this before, numerous times, and nothing happened.

Mueller's coming, yo!

In all seriousness, Trump's lawyers know as much about what Mueller's doing as we do. Literally, because they've leaked what has been happening from their perspective at every chance they get. Mueller hasn't leaked shit though.

Makes perfect sense if you want to avoid the right wing shit storm and getting maligned for influencing the election unlike what FBAye director James Comey did to the detriment of Democrats.
From everything that's been said this has been Mueller's idea for sometime, wait to see how the elections play out not too have a repeat of the final days before the 2016 election. Smart play honestly, releasing it before to the current Congress wouldn't do much.

"As early as Wednesday"

That sounds to me like he doesn't want to influence the election one way or the other. Not sure how to feel about that.

Mueller will release as appropriate.

Throughout all the leaks and the rumours, Mueller has continued to be a rock.

Won't believe anything until his team says something.

If we somehow don't win the house and then Mueller comes out with his report and it's nothing, the entire Democratic party will jump off a bridge

Even if Mueller is planning for a post election release. Congress doesn't change until 2019. The report would just go to a republican controlled congress if released immediately

It does logically track that he wouldn't submit anything until after the mid-terms, both because it would look bad, and because a blue House is much more likely to act on anything, even if the Senate knock it down.

And in that case, if he's already concluded the investigation and is sitting on it, I could see how White House staff might expect it the day after. I seriously doubt it though.

Don't listen to anyone outside of Mueller's team - particularly Trump officials - trying to claim they know that Mueller is about to wrap everything up.

These sorts of articles keep getting written based on unnamed or Trump sources claiming how the investigation is "almost done" and "just about to finish" and surprisingly are consistently wrong.

If it's bad news, the very best possible timing (for Trump) for this would be Wednesday. Too late to do damage, 2 years until RE-election.

I mean, they expected it to be wrapped up by last Thanksgiving I think. I'd stop giving them bylines.

That's why he's been so quiet lately. It's an unspoken rule in investigations like this. That's why Comey reopening the Clinton investigation right before the election was such a big deal.
It's generally a spoken rule, the lettered agencies aren't supposed to do anything to affect the results of an election one way or another.

Lose the house and senate on Tuesday. Lose your oldest son to a jail cell on Wednesday. Could be an exciting week for Trump.
