I got myself some pasta, a quart of cheese, a whole damn loaf of bread and I'm washing it down with the sweet satisfaction that everyone can suck my !@#$ because I'm eating Italian FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOd
Chopped Cheese ain't a burger. It's better because you're tasting more surface area of the burger patty. My local dude puts onions, peppers, and mayo on it. God bless!

Kebab stands wouldn't eliminate Bodegas because you know they are owned by different cultures. It's not like swapping out Burger King with Chic fil a man.
Back when this thread was posted, it actually inspired me to make a homemade chopped cheese as the concept sounded really good (I live in Chicago).
I made it by forming ground beef into a patty and cooking it, then chopping it up, adding swiss cheese, bacon and chopped iceberg lettuce and putting it all into an Italian roll.
It was fantastic!

Chopped cheese is like if a college student wanted a cheese steak but only only had what was in his fridge. It isn't like it's gross, but to call it a "specialty" is kind of hilarious.

I need to run it by my wife but I was thinking of incorporating Chopped Cheese into the bedroom somehow.
I'm with OP on this one. Not every struggle sandwich is suddenly some sort of iconic, lore heavy, traditional dish worthy of iconic status.
