I'm building PCs for a new business and I'd like to pair the "Design" PCs I'm building with 4k displays; not so much for the actual usable resolution but so I can run them at 1920x1080 and have really crisp on-screen elements, like how Apple sets up their portable displays these days.

I'm not gaming on these screens, so I don't need FreeSync, GSync, or any other gaming-focused features, just some decent color accuracy.

I generally go with The Wirecutter as a starting point for tech recommendations but their current 4k picks are either a touch too pricey (the HP Z27) or only available refurbished. (the Acer KA270HK)

Any suggestions you can throw my way?

Curious too what the market looks like for 4K 27" displays with actual HDR. Don't care about high-refresh rate, I'm after color accuracy first and foremost.

The Dell UltraSharp U2718Q is the best I've found. I tried a bunch of LG models but all of them had issues (dead pixels, stuck pixels, image retention).

Seems like the ViewSonic VP2785-4K and Dell UP2718Q are both contenders for HDR 4K monitors. Anyone have experience with either?
