I saw the Galaga/Galaxian unit at my local Walmart today, I put in a few minutes of playtime, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised.
The cabinet (with "Galaga" on the marquee) was attractive, and would be instantly recognizable to fans of the original arcade machines. It's obviously smaller than an original machine, but it appeared to have very good build quality, although there was some wear around the joystick area. The joystick and buttons looked and felt great, and control response was excellent.
There might be concerns about some of the other models (what were they thinking with the Defender controls?), but this particular unit gets the "thumbs up" seal of approval from me. A big Galaga or Galaxian fan would be very happy to get one of these machines under the tree.
