Really? I'm kind of shocked, because it is a very one sided rivalry. The Steelers win way more often than the Bengals.I googled the biggest NFL rivalry right now and it says Bengals vs Steelers.
Times that by 1000.
Rivalries this deep typically transcend the relative quality of a specific side; think college sports rivalries, for example.Really? I'm kind of shocked, because it is a very one sided rivalry. The Steelers win way more often than the Bengals.
This tournament is the South American champions league pretty much, picture a champions league final between Madrid and Barcelona, is this big. They play each other like 8 times during any given year anyway no?
Can someone translate this hate into NFL terms? Would it be like the Steelers playing the Ravens in the SuperBowl?* I'll watch anything where the teams are good and there is a healthy bloodlust.
*I know
I can see why that would be unappealing from a personal perspective, but you can't deny a Madrid vs Barcelona CL final would be incredibly alluring. Both teams from Argentina playing in South America version of Champions League? If anything that sounds boring. They play a lot against each other. I would like to see competition between 2 countries.
It's like having Barca vs Real CL final. When I just want both to loose.
Is the equivalent of barca vs Madrid on South America, but here their fans really hate each other

Poor Obelisco
Never heard of them
Brother no one gives a rat's ass what you did months ago.I was in Argentina about a month ago and visited the Boca stadium, I'll be watching this for sure
Got the DAZN sub ready for this. It will be fucking glorious.
Brother no one gives a rat's ass what you did months ago.
I hope somebody from Boca scores and does "La Gallinita"....just to see what happens.
Yeah... I hope not... just an example on their local league (Rosario vs Boca) a few years ago...
As long as there is no violence towards anyone, I'm for it!
I hope for a great game!
Sure but imagine the rivalry is based on socioeconomic status. Can someone translate this hate into NFL terms? Would it be like the Steelers playing the Ravens in the SuperBowl?* I'll watch anything where the teams are good and there is a healthy bloodlust.

Baseball fans have the most heated rivalries because they need something, anything, to do to quell the mind numbing tedium of watching a Baseball match. I'd rather get stabbed or punched in the face than sit through three hours of that bullshit too.

To each their own my friend. I'd rather watch a week straight of AA baseball than a single top-tier soccer game. I'm not even a massive baseball fan.
Haha nothing really. Just wanted to ruffle some feathers as I kill time between sets.

Anyway, I just wanted to stir the pot a bit. You guys enjoy yourselves!

I pity the poor McDonald's at the side of the Buenos Aires obelisk when the match ends.. It's going to get rough.
About the match; I really suspect that this was rigged somehow.
The Argentinian population are suffering from a big recession that can last at least 1 more year and the politicians have historically distracted them with football or other things (more recently with an abortion law that didn't passed the senate, judiciary progress on cases of corruption, etc.).
Football here is very tied with politics and mafias, so I would be not surprised if that was the plan all along.
Mainstream sports? Hockey primarily, baseball when in season and the Jays are doing good. What sport do you enjoy the most? I'm guessing golf but please confirm

Mostly I just watch snowboarding and skateboarding videos though.
But in regards to your post, yes, I'd rather watch golf than soccer.
Nothing beats soccer rivalries though, I'll give you that. South American and Eastern European soccer fans are fucking insane.
Okay if you really want to break down Hockey vs Soccer we can do it. Not here though, for the sake of poor OP.I hear ya, the Hockey and Baseball fights are (the only) entertaining thing in those sports, i give you that xD.
I'm confused here.

hockey is an infinitely more entertaining and skilled sport, by a country mile. You simply cannot argue the latter.
