Ok so I played Diablo 3 only for the first three chapters in PS3 so I decided to give this another try, I'll share my friend code and probably in the next few days I'll buy the nintendo online subscription to play some coop.

Can "Law of Kulle" bring up an items base level? Like if I have a level 30 legendary, will it reroll it to match my character level later on?

Just wondering if there's any reason to hold onto legendaries that I've out-leveled.

I don't get how I can be Paragon 50 and not able to move up to Master, like did I screw something up? Why am I so not powerful, why am I not getting good gear drops?

Ah, that would be it. I'm a level 42. What's the best way to grind out some quick levels?

Slot the best Ruby you have into your helm for extra XP (Leoric's Crown is best for this). Run bounties and normal rifts at the highest level you can reasonably do. Also, just do runs of Halls of Agony in Act 1. Enemy density is pretty high there.

It's all about weapons early on. Whatever level you are train up your blacksmith and make the highest level weapon you can and make a few of them to see if you get some good RNG. Also slot your weapons with emeralds at 70.

Also a quick tip if you have Leorics helm (increases the gem bonus by certain %) make sure its equipped no matter what level you are pre-70. If you don't have one, start up the story and do the first chapter until you get to the skeleton king and kill him and you will get an automatic leorics helm legendary. Slot with a your best ruby and profit.

This is bad advice. He's paragon 50 so he's already lvl. 70. Blacksmith doesn't offer anything worthwhile. What you want are blood shards, death breaths and forgotten souls to (re)roll legendaries. Also do greater rifts to get legendary gems and slot them.

One thing that I'm noticing while playing the story (w/ season mode enabled) is that i'm betting much better loot already than I ever got doing the story mode on PC or on the Xbox one.

Flipping addicting as hell though. Love it.

I started a new character, went on adventure mode and I'm clearing the Acts one by one. Anything else I should be doing? What exactly is "end-game" and the loot carrot on a stick?

End game is running high level Greater Rifts and getting better gear to run even higher level Greater Rifts, and then shooting for the leaderboards. The gameplay loop is very satisfying; that's what the end game is. I usually run a couple characters a season, play for a couple weeks, then put the game down and pick it up again when a new season starts.

Chapter 3 on Master and I still haven't died once. Necromancer seems incredibly powerful!

Got a legendary weapon for my Wizard that ups damage from Explosive Blast and instead of one it fires off three more. Than I spec the rune that sets off three more. Now sometimes I just run into a group of mobs and press my button until everything around me explodes. It is hilarious.

So I played the story mode years ago on PC, why should I start an online season character on adventure now? What bonuses do I get? Will I be able to play that character later still?

Yeah there really is a lot of synergies between skills and items and you can do some crazy stuff. I think a lot of people think the game is just brain dead easy but it can get as hard as you want depending on how high you want to push.

Yep, every seasonal character goes to the normal pool at the end of the season, with all his stuff/gold/XP. Parangon levels will be converted in XP for each character of your account too. You lose anything when you play a seasonal character, you juste start from scratch on each new season to get different bonuses.

Silly question but can I get Leorics Crown to drop in Adventure mode if I haven't cleared that chapter in Story Mode?

It can drop from anywhere in Adventure Mode, regardless of whether you faced him in Story Mode or not. But it's a guaranteed drop from Skeleton King the first time you defeat him in Story Mode (once per character).

If I'm starting a fresh character in Adventure mode (already played through the base game story and Reaper of Souls on PC), what's the general approach to the initial leveling? Should I go to the Act 1 areas and grind out a few levels before taking on things like Bounties? Is there a level I should reach first before taking on Bounties? In terms of starting difficulty, is it reasonable to start on Expert and increase or decrease the difficulty as needed?

Apologies for the barrage of questions, just been a while since I played the game on PC and forgot how things worked.

You can definitely start doing bounties and rifts as soon as you start in adventure mode. Expert should be fine, I typically do Hard in the early stage and ramp up, but just adjust as you go. Welcome back and have fun, things have improved a lot.

Cool I'll give that a shot then and see how it goes. Appreciate the response.

Usually to lvl up quickly I mainly farm nephalem rifts with 3 other players. Don't underestimate the XP/loot bonus when you play in a party.

If you did bouties, you certainly have green recipes to craft green sets with XP bonus. This + Leoric crown with a red gem inside and you will be 70 in no time. You can also ask for powerlevelling it's fast with a 70 player (no XP malus). But powerlevelling is better on alts, not on a first character because you'll feel nude and powerless without stuff.

First time playing this game, it's extremely addictive. I love it. That Ganondorf armor seems very far away though, I got to level 17 today.

Is there a way to give your friends in local co-op the stuff you pick up? So that way if they start off at level 1 and you're way higher you can give them some bad ass gear to use?

Omnicent thanks for running with me for a bit, hate that there's no way to do any type of chat or emotes to reflect this. Felt bad just dumping out of the game. :(

Been having this issue since we both purchased it but haven't been able to find a resolution.

My girlfriend and I both purchased the game. She bought a physical copy and I got the digital. We are on the same Nintendo online family account.

My switch friends list shows her online, but in the game I can't see her online (says no friends online). She sees me online but when she tries to join my game it gives her an error.

Some things we've tried:
Switching to friends only, to invite only, to public, no success
Reset / turned off consoles

We are able to play locally but not over wifi (this is where we run into the above problem, and right now I'm at home and not at her house)

Anyone have any suggestions ?

How do i play online? I signed up for nintendo online and when i started a game it says i am offline.
Make sure you're set to Online under Network Settings. You can also adjust the privacy settings by pressing the plus button in the main menu.

I got a puzzle ring, should I use it to go into a treasure vault or should I equip it?
It's not a ring typically used in any builds so if you don't really need it, the items and gold you can get from the vault are usually worth a good bit more.

Ok it was the privacy settings. Think it had to activate the nintendo sub too. Thanks!
