Guys, I don't think some of you truly fathom how long it takes to make a character.

If the fighter pass is expected to be released in Feb 2020 iirc, they would have already started the groundwork.

Data of Bayonetta was datamined in the 1.0.6 update in Smash 4 in April 2015. She was released as DLC on February 2016.

That's 10 months. And consider the fact that she was even more busted as hell.

So unless there are gonna be 5 new Bayos (or even worse 5 Melee Kirbies), they started the already.
Yeah, even though he said they haven't started, I assume he means like they just haven't put full efforts toward them yet. Groundwork has already been started.

Meanwhile I just noticed that everyone's idea of there just being 1 of 3 sets you choose was wrong so i bet they stil lget banned lmao

People will have to deal with it in Online mode either way, so we'll see how balanced they've made it either way.

It's fine to give characters one or two top tier specials, but pretty broken to have all 4 specials be top tier, which is what custom moves usually lead to.

wait a minute

I just realized Sakurai's CPS1/CPS2 comment means this is in

They did play said tune when they revealed the Guile assist trophy.

Now I know Geno and the Chocobo Mii hats were shown off with music that didn't make it into Smash, but that's just the Square Enix exception.

It's been a while and I never dabbled super hard but in general I don't think that Mii's customs were super broken or wonky. A lot of them were derivative of other characters' normal specials anyway, rather than some of the off the wall nonsense others had.
I think the best one was...brawler's up special kick?

There's one Nintendo rep that hasn't been deconfirmed or confirmed in any way yet:

It just occurred to me. Shadow's deconfirmed. So Tails might just have a shot at DLC.

Tails always felt like he'd be the most interesting Sonic addition, to be honest, other than Robotnik - and it felt like the Robotnik move set has now basically been expressed in Baby Bowser's clown car. Anyway, Tails is interesting because you can still give him the basic Sonic move in the spin dash (down special), but Tails obviously has a 'status' in the Sonic series with his 'boy genius' trope. Like, the Final Smash would obviously be the Tornado, he'd have Fly as his up special, probably a spinning tail whip as his side special, then probably some sort of gadget (there's a few to pick from here, but Tails has a bit of a history with explosives) as his neutral special.

He's always made the most sense, assuming they weren't going to go for Shadow as a quick echo job. Knuckles is cool, but Smash has a fair few bare-knuckle brawlers already. Tails could sorta be a hybrid between Sonic and Fox (which makes sense, I guess), and fit into a unique spot as a result.

My point isn't that any single move was overpowered, but that having every move be above average combines to be overpowered.

But most people on either side of the ban argument never had to play a practiced custom mii before, including myself. At least now we'll know pretty well if it's overpowered, because you'll see it everywhere online if it is.

I'm not gonna lie if a majority of the Street Fighter tunes are just rips of SF2 music I'm a little disappointed. Was hoping for more remixes or rips from recent games like SFV

The guile's theme remix in the direct left me wanting, as did Ken's remix.
So having those classic versions is fine by me.

Two things

1) Eh, I feel like if there's another smash ballot he's probably gonna clarify if you can vote for assists or not, and two sakurai can do whatever he wants if folks ask for it. This smash is gonna last a while so, I dunno if enough people want knuckles... he might just also put in knuckles. That said, the real issue is issue 2

2 and this is a big two ) Sega seems to be being a bit weird with sonic right now, So more than normal. I wouldn't trust them to whatever cool thing you want them to do.
I trust them to lend characters to crossovers, far moreso now than a decade ago when they were tsundere about Sonic getting in. As Konami has shown, the willingness to hand characters off is all that really matters.

I'm not entirely convinced Wario is human
Fair. He could actually be an orc in disguise. Or perhaps a vampire, who uses the falsehood that vampires fear or loathe garlic as a means of keeping people off the scent (but onto another, grosser scent).

He is, after all, a master of disguise.

Trust me
While I do hope Eggman gets in

And I hope Shadow and Knuckles get voted in

I'm just, uh not confident in that. I'm gonna leave that there. I'm just not confident in Sega as a whole right now, But I would like to be proven wrong. Or rather what i've talked about to other people anyway.

Okay, help me out here and check my logic.

I want to buy the console bundle (JP). I plan on giving away the Switch itself as a Christmas gift, and I'll preload my Switch with the code. However, I'm assuming that the code in the JP bundle will only be usable with the JP eShop. I have a Switch profile with its Nintendo Account region set to Japan (it's actually a friend's account), so I'll have to use that person's profile to download it. However, I should be able to play the title on my own Switch profile. I also plan on getting a copy physically for my collection when I'm in the US for Christmas. Since Switch games share save data across digital and physical versions, my US cart version should be able to begin using the save data I've started on the JP digital version. Additionally, I'll buy the fighter's pass on my own US Switch profile, and should be able to use the DLC with both versions of the game.

Basically, I wanna confirm that two different copies from two different regions will only contribute to one save file and that I'll be able to basically treat the two of them as one copy. For DLC purposes as well as just to ensure nothing wacky will happen down the road if my friend gets his own Switch and makes that his primary console.

I feel like people sleep on Digimon because they think of it as an anime, but it started as a virtual pet videogame.

They could have a lot of fun referencing that kind of stuff with a fighter.

Down special is poop.
