I don't know anything about her, but that's a thoughtless tweet for certain. Trying to spin that as anything but an endorsement — as if the wording is accidental — is futile. Further, trying to create a strawman that anything but an endorsement is "mocking a veteran when they come home hurt" is... something. Who is doing that? Moreover, which is the party trying to create a better healthcare infrastructure to take care of said veterans? Not that veteran candidate's.

We don't have the luxury of voting for political candidates based on their life story, rather than their political views and intents. Being a veteran doesn't make another Republican who'll be lock-step with his party and their disgusting politics any more palatable.

That doesn't look good if you're supposed to be a neutral reporter, especially two days before the election. A lot of the replies mention that her right lean is obvious, but in what little I've seen of her on msnbc I didn't get that vibe yet.

She said in the replies that he shouldn't be mocked for his service? Who the fuck is mocking him for serving?

I think her Twitter profile pic perfectly sums up my thoughts on her Tweet.

I imagine this is in response to SNL making a joke about Crenshaw's eyepatch, which is the result of an injury he suffered while serving in the military. GOP twitter is in full outrage mode about it right now.

Oh that guy I saw a couple interviews with him. Without knowing a lot about his thoughts on policy he seems like an alright guy.

But we kinda know what to expect with republicans in congress soooo... yeaaaahhh...

Republicans angry over a vet being mocked for his service? I mean, it was just a joke about his appearance, it's not like he made fun of him for being captured and tortured or anything.

Support the troops guys, even if they are actively working to kill the people they supposedly defend, lol.

People better stop pretending that these "former" Republicans are on our side. They are dying for any excuse to vote for the Republican party again. Give them someone with the exact same policies as Trump but less overt racist and they will cling to that person as the "savior" that will bring "conservative values" back.

BoJack Horseman had it right. Just because somebody served doesn't mean they deserve our respect about all things at all times. Fuck that. A jerk is a jerk. Some people use the same damn logic to let Trump get away with everything. "we must respect the office!"

I agree that anyone who would vote for a person who made fun of a vet's war injury is a jerk. So I would definitely never vote for Pete Davidson.

I hate the narrative that you are automatically better if you served. Especially when it is pushed by people that don't give a damn about them when they come home broken

We must bring back civility says the media as Trump spews out hate rhetoric that is literally killing people, and they don't call him out for it.

A quick look at his 'issues' page exposes him as a 'religious liberty' bigot and a warhawk willing to fight a war on no fewer than five fronts (north korea, iran, iraq, afghanistan and "north africa")

Nah

If anything one should assume somebody is a bigger piece of shit if they serve as it means they willingly enlisted to contribute to a destructive military complex that causes global pain and suffering.
I live by an army base for nearly all my life, the folks they scrap up and put in uniform....smh
