S'all good man,I'm joking. Morrison's my favorite writer but I do think he can be a bit...difficult to digest lol. That's part of why I like him, but he's not going to appeal to everyone. And Doom Patrol from my understanding is even more surreal than the books you named.
In two episodes nothing about this show is better than S1-2 Arrow or S1 Flash. And it's decidedly worse than Daredevil.
It already managed to have three superfocused episodes. That is more than Daredevil in its entire run.
I'd say iittiitts better than S1 Arrow at the very least. That was a big meh season only made worthwhile to get to S2
The best two episodes of Titans so far are the ones that deal with other heroes/teams. Doom Patrol may be my favorite so far.
And that isn't to say it's because show is bad or the team isn't good, but these episodes had a laser focus which helped keep em self-contained but also give us some great character moments.
Now that the team is together, I'm hoping we get more of that with the core.

So was Doom Patrol good? First episode of this didn't really get me invested, but I'll tune back in to see the Doom Patrol seeds they're planting.

I'll warn you, the CG for Elastigirl is lightyears beyond BB. Don't let his appearance turn you off.
Ah, I'm rarely one to be deterred by bad CG. That's purely a matter of budget allocation, not a signifier of quality. Excited to check this out. I long thought it impossible to get Doom Patrol adapted to any medium.

Just binged the first 4 episodes, really a fantastic show. Wasn't feeling it when they were releasing the promo material, but I honestly enjoyed every minute.
I'm day 1 with their Doom Patrol too, so much chemistry for a cast where half of them can't even show their face.

They did have good chemistry but everyone but Elasti‑Girl is getting recast for the real show.

Everyone's who's gonna voice the characters in the actual Doom Patrol show was in this episode. They reduced them. So, really all that's gonna change is The achieve getting recast as Timothy Dalton
Matt Bomer is Negative Man.
Brendan Fraser is Robotman.
Timothy Dalton is Chief.
So overall its an upgrade as far as talent goes its just odd to do a backdoor pilot for a show and recast 90% of the people. But I guess everyone besides Chief had their face covered so it won't be so jarring.
Edit: Lol. Disregard everything I said. Didn't recognize Bomer's or Fraser's voices at all in this episode.
Fraser was the voice of Robotman this episode and will continue to be in DP

Lol, well it's a great cast regardless. I'm a fan of Timothy Dalton too.
That episode was quite good, and now we finally have the Titans together.
Really looking forward to seeing them together as a team.
As for comparisons to other shows, it's too early to judge really.
Arrow S2, S5, Flash S1, Legends of Tomorrow, Daredevil, Agents of Shield S2, S4. I would say all of those are really great and this has potential to reach those highs as the season progresses.

Another great episode, I really felt for the doom patrol. I know nothing about them so it was good hearing about them. From next episode looks like were going back to titans all together. The whole cast has great chemistry with each other.
Exactly. The guy from this episode embodied Niles from the comics.
To me, he looks way to young. But I dismissed it cause he's doing some crazy ass shit and it wouldn't surprise me he doesn't age very much.
