So this is why, shame, i feel this list is incomplete, it is one of the most popular game on it.
Somewhat better then the very poor physical sales, not saying they did great at all. Just guessing.
My bad, missed that Sony provides digital sales.
The list includes digital and physical full game sales.
Software sold as part of a hardware bundle is not included.
I guarantee you that if the Vita got more ports of console shooters, they'd dominate this list as well.
But man, what does it say about how dead an IP Resistance was at that point when it couldn't crack the top 10 despite releasing pretty close to the launch of the system?
Nintendo and Bethesda are the only big publishers that have joined the DLP at this point. Hopefully we'll get there sooner rather than later.
It is pretty crazy how much of the first party library came to PS+. I think the only big game that didn't was Soul Sacrifice Delta.
That Resistance game was hot trash.
Then they reskinned it six months later.
I don't know why more people don't talk about this.
I mean, this really isn't that crazy considering that the Wii U had a few million sellers under its belt by the end, but yeah, 2012 wasn't a great year to launch hardware.
Pretty sad that ultra craptacular Black Ops Declassified game is so high. Damn that game was so bad.
The Vita Curse is unsparing, and even though Dreams is shaping up, I still have a pang of worry for Media Molecule just because of Tearaway debuting on Vita. Prove me wrong, Sony!
Any chance we could get a list of everyone participating in the DLP? I hope Nintendo, Sega and Bethesda all join up soon.
Persona 4 Golden would be much higher on the list if digital sales were included. Otherwise it's not surprising, Vita is very niche.
I wonder if there's a hard cutoff point for sales on that list, too, though for very different reasons. Piracy on the PSP was damn near mainstream.
I made the same mistake, Mat himself came in here and said they are. Which is even more terrifying.
Honestly very telling that mot of these titles released in the first year. with Zhuge saying it was a 400k ceiling in the US it's no wonder support dried up so hard and so fast.
That's only North America but I imagine the rest of the world isn't much better and Japan's top 10 sell list would be radically different then this one lol
I'm genuinely surprised at the lack of FFX remake or Metal Gear Solid remakes. Both were excellent.
Persona 4 is Atlus (Sega) game. It doesn't include digital sales (like that asterisk on the chart shows).
While PSP was in no way software selling monster (outside of DS no handheld is) its software sales were not as bad people sometimes think. For first few years in US it was actually above 3DS when it comes to sales of retail sw (I remember seeing comparison in one older NPD thread)
They bought them on PS3 instead, simple as that. Had P4G been released on PS3 as well, it wouldn't even show up here.
