.If you want to know how poor Vita sales were.
Unit 13 is just over 200k and Uncharted is barely over 400k.
Sounds about right. IIRC, as both games came out at more or less the same time, someone had mentioned that Resident Evil: Revelations on 3DS was closer to 200k than Uncharted was over it in the first month they were tracked, so the legs on Uncharted had to have been pretty damn bad. Granted, it didn't help that it was one of the initial PS+ offerings for about a year, but yeah, Sony could not give a fuck.
OOF
Yeah, everything's from 2012. We don't have final figures but I believe Vita sold ballpark a little over 2m in the US, making it the worst selling major platform here since Sega Saturn.
Killzone is actually from 2013, but yeah.Yeah, everything's from 2012. We don't have final figures but I believe Vita sold ballpark a little over 2m in the US, making it the worst selling major platform here since Sega Saturn.
I'm tempted to post the stophesalreadydead gif, but I feel like it will only get worse from there.Fun Fact. If you add together the unit sales of the top 10 PS Vita games in that list, it's roughly equal to what Spider-Man sold in its first month.
Does the NPD track physical sales of redemption codes? There was never an actual game card for it.
Yep, there we are.
Holy shit, that's roughFun Fact. If you add together the LTD unit sales of the top 10 PS Vita games in that list, it's roughly equal (slightly higher but whatever) to what Spider-Man sold in its first month.
It's a bigger IP than Persona and was a launch game, it's not that surprising that Uncharted is at the top tbh.I'm verrrry surprised P4 isn't #1. Golden Abyss being at the top also surprises me greatly, but I love the little game as much as I do P4, so it doesn't bother me 1 bit.
Bundles that include games are not counted by the NPD.This also includes any bundles, though, eh? Like, weren't there bundles each of AC, COD, and NFS?
Oh my.Fun Fact. If you add together the LTD unit sales of the top 10 PS Vita games in that list, it's roughly equal (slightly higher but whatever) to what Spider-Man sold in its first month.
Oh. Wow. Thanks.
Tearaway was a massive flop. Not an expensive flop due to how small the team was, but still an absolute sales disaster. I think it was at less than 40k its first month and it never got better. And even then Tearaway couldn't chart? That's a crime right there.

They likely did somewhat better digitally which the NPD doesn't track, these are only physical card sales.
Based on the numbers we were given, it's more like Vita just didn't have any big sellers, periodDamn looking at the list the Vita didn't have any big sellers anymore after just a year being in the market............All games are from 2011-2012.
Also surprised that MvC3 is there
Everything in that list is from 2012-2013

Yeah this chart needs saved for prosperity here. I always wanted a Vita cause it is a nice piece of hardware but never pulled the trigger because I only wanted 1-2 games.Just in case anyone was wondering why Sony will never make a handheld ever again
