is there no button to make the tetraminos fall down instantly? and i gotta say, since Child of Eden i really don´t like the music in Miz´games...much too mellow, the female vocals sound cheesy, same was in Rez Infinite Zone X...
i loved the more technoid sounds in Rez because i like techno/psytrance/dark progressive stuff in general, this female vocal stuff is too cheesy for me

You press up pad, makes no sense to me why its up intead of down.

yeah, the graphics are cool with the effects but as i said the music is not my thing so far, will play a few levels if it gets better...other than that i like it, its what i would expect of a game called "Tetris Effect" but i wouldn´t buy it for the demanded price, will wait for a sale on this one
My god. I am going to be spending a lot of time not playing games with my PS4 on. Also gives me some nostalgia for folding@home!

From what I remember of other Tetris games, Up does an instant drop while Down does a fast fall.
This is fantastic, and makes Tetris Effect a much easier purchase. Excellent work

Nice ZT stacking and use of the Zone meter.
The piece generator in modern Tetris games always give you an even distribution of the 7 different shapes. So, you'll never get more than 2 of the same piece in a row, and you'll never have more than a 12-piece drought before seeing the same piece again. Combined with the option to hold pieces and see several pieces ahead, it's not that difficult to plan and build specific patterns.
invalid for using 4 preview pieces like a scrub. did not know there was a perfectris, I was only two lines away from it. :(
they dont fit but he memorizes how to lock the junk together to create T pieces gapes which is how you keep the well clean. also turning on the color coded option and zooming in helps a ton. the visual effects while pretty are crippling for competitive play.
I adore Hydelic's music, including the poppy female vocals, though I have to admit the lyrics are a little cringe. Like the stuff people say on acid that they think is profound but is really like "We should all love each other."
That said, Tetris Effect's music is pretty eclectic. It's not all like that.
That was exactly what I meant with that. I rather wait and hope it comes to the Switch because there is no way I pay 40 bucks twice for Tetris.

I downloaded the UK demo yesterday.
It doesn't appear when you search for it...but on my PC, when I clicked the demos link at the side of the page, Tetris is the first demo there.
Well you can order from Amazon.de ( but I hate the HUGE USK logo on front ). Bol.com has the game for preorder too ( placeholder date 31.12.2018)
Tried it just now and wow that was an experience. Played through the first 3 levels on beginner. The backgrounds aren't as distracting as I expected. The music really does put you in a zone. When I finished I felt like I'd come out of a bit of trance. I want even elwearing the vr helmet. I was going to wait for a sale but for something this good I'm going to put down the money straight away.
After couple of hours I decided not to buy it now - the game feels and plays great, beaten all stages and marathon on expert, will try to beat mystery mode today - my main problem, at higher speeds I'm fully concentrated on playing area, and have no time to look around - and what happens around is the best in this game.. and I'm just missing it all the time. Unlike in Lumines, I can't see the whole picture, in both senses. I feel like to make Tetris was some kind of life goal for Mizuguchi, though, and I'm glad he did it.
You know, I really miss that time when the lack of internet allowed my to believe I was very good at things.

What an amazing demo, I went from I like Tetris to I need this game now, in the space of 10 minutes.
Is this confirmed to be native 4k? it looks amazing. Wish I could try it VR.
Tetris Ultimate is a $15 game and it's a piece of shit
