Sure. THe 7/10 shooting games on PlayStation is a staggering difference. And I'm Sure Destiny 2 and fallout 4 didn't sell huge numbers on ps4.....

If US makes up 50% of Xbox One sold, then we would have Halo 5 at around 3.5-4 Million copies sold based on your comment on the PS4 list being notably above 3 Million. Lets take 4 Million.
Then Worldwide sales for Halo 5 would be 8 Million ish.
If we take another 2 Million with Bundles and Xbox GP.
Then, we have Halo 5 sales at approximately 10 Million.

Worth noting that NPD doesn't track some PC digital stores like Blizzard, Origin or uPlay. So there is some data not included here.

Correct. sales from PC digital storefronts are not included on the PS4 and Xbox One lists.

This also goes to show Microsoft losing the COD marketing hurt a lot moving consoles wise. Two generations in the row the most dominant series out there.
It's the worst performing mainline Halo game (I believe), but it's still Halo.
I mean, it's not like shooters dominating mainstream charts is making it harder for folks to make more diverse games and others to play them. The only reason to be upset is if you believed that they were ever going to be as big.
I don't know why some are saying the list makes them sad. These games being as big as they are, in a way, making it possible for the exclusive games you like to happen in the first place.
...I mean, 7th Gen was basically the first gen where the hardware (Both internally and controller-wise) was finally there to make a console FPS that wasn't really janky or full of other compromises.
(Yes I know Halo 1 and 2 exist, but they're the exception that proved the rule back then, and Bungie had been making FPS games for about a decade by the time Halo 1 came out.)
what do we think the next exclusive for both that missed the list is?
my guess is
gears 4 or forza horizon 3 for xbo
uncharted 4 or the last of us for ps4
i'd be very interested to see this too. my guess is all the games on it would be from 2012/2013.

I am also saddened by the lack of options that children have nowadays to play quality console games that are appropriate for them. Without something from Nintendo it must be very complicated.
For example I also see sad that something like Starlink does not work.
The Xbox or Halo arent anywhere close to being this strong outside of the US.
Doubt it sold much more than 5m ww. I remember it being on par or even lacking compared to Splatoon WiiU numbers at one point ....so 8m are quite unlikely.
God of War, baby! Spider-Man will be there next month. Well deserved. Funny to see how Uncharted is much bigger outside NA. Uncharted 4 should be well over 10 million already :)
Sure, because it has twice as many gamers. Make sense that these games sell just as good there or even better (which is the case).
Not sure why people are sad about shooters dominating the lists. That's been a thing since Halo, GTA, and CoD broke records. The rest of the industry just followed the money.

I agree that both Sony and MS really dropped the ball in terms of family-friendly games, but the market is the market and I don't think they're suffering at all for their focus on these games. Nintendo just happens to be an immediate beneficiary for those audiences being underserved, and I think that Mat and Benji have indicated as such in the past.
Over 3 million units in just the US without including bundles is a very high bar to reach.
I'm just shocked not to see Uncharted 4. I had no idea God of War sold more. Spiderman will join the party for sure.
And where the hell are Horizon 3 and Gears 4 on Xbox One ?
It was at 5 million years ago, Stinkles implied that few months after launch, its well above that.
Proves Halo alot higher as MS have always said, and people here don't know what they're talking about re the franchise (unless they're recognised insiders).
MatPiscatella Are you counting digital sales for the games released before you started adding digital sales to the monthly charts?
My guess would be
Gears 4 for xbo
Uncharted 4 for ps4
Forza Horizon 3 came out after Gears 4, but its a racing game, so for the US market thats its disadvantage.
The Last of Us on ps4 was heavily bundled, but came out before UC4. I still think UC4 did better outside of bundles though.
God of War franchise is bigger in the U.S. than Uncharted. The list would be different if this were worldwide. That's not to diminish the incredible sales God of War has put up, of course.
Historically I think God of War has been much bigger than Uncharted in the US.
