Eh, maybe not a reskin, more of a rehash. Like how that Bubsy runner game looks and plays just like Runner 3, but likely will have completely different levels (and maybe a few different gameplay mechanics).

Blizzard isn't designing or developing Diablo Immortal. NetEase, a mobile company that has a long history of slapping licensed content into their other projects complete with using the same UI and assets is.

They really don't look that much alike, at least not enough that I'd call it a reskin. Art style is pretty different. They're two games of the same genre on the same platform(s), of course the interface is going to look similar at a glance.

Being the same studio, they're likely using a lot of the same code. But the difference in the art direction is night and day.

Basically a Diablo clone on mobile is getting cloned to become an actual Blizzard funded Diablo mobile game.

Soulless cash grab would be an understatement here. The only silver lining here is that since it is being outsourced, the actual Diablo team is probably working on Diablo 4.

It's not uncommon for mobile games in China by the same publisher to share assets.
There isn't enough evidence to say it's the same game, but if it is then this is just a version built for the West.

Btw, the English name for this game is ETERNAL REALM.
