lol, it took eight games for "we know it's important to be patient as LeBron integrates with a young roster" to go to "IMPROVE OR HEADS WILL ROLL"

Now imagine if they fucked up that Dallas comeback before playing Portland and Toronto. Magic would've had Walton assassinated.

Throughout his tenure with the Lakers, Johnson has earned an internal reputation for an often-time volatile management style, including with his handling of Walton and the coaching staff, sources said.

One of the greatest players in the history of the game, Johnson's business interests often lead him to be traveling away from the team. Johnson relies on Pelinka to run the day-to-day of basketball operations and offer reports and analysis up to him.

"As I was talking to Luke (with Pelinka), we said don't worry about if we get out to a bad start," Johnson told reporters in September. "We have seen that with LeBron going to Miami, and we have seen that when he came back to Cleveland. He is going to struggle because there are so many new moving parts. But eventually we are going to get it, and we are going to be a really good team."

yeah Magic sounds absolutely miserable, lolkers

Just trade Bron for D Rose at this point. Both Bron and Butler are team cancers, they deserve the same team.

The criticism of gm bron in cleveland is funny cause
a. Dan gilbert is showing he is extremly inept
B. They were contenders for 3 years out of his 4 years in cleveland and made the finals 4 straight years
C. He drove up attendance and actually made the franchise bettter

teams do this all the time, i don't know why everyone is confused.
go for 2 and hope the opponent misses a free throw. they still had a timeout to advance the ball.

DRose is clearly better than LeBron at this point. He's younger, cheaper, and has a 50 point game under his belt this season. Twolves hang up the phone.

Yea but Thibs doesn't like rapist and LA doesn't mind so Minnesota hits that redial button real quick.

There are definitely some moves the Cavs made during LeBron's 2nd run their that helped the team short term, but may have hurt them in the long term (the TT, JR, Shump deals, trading 1st rounders for Mozgov, trading a 1st for Clarkson/Nance) that are attributed to "LeGM", but I think in part that was due to the fact that LeBron never committed to the Cavs. He kept signing one year deals (or 1+1) with Cleveland, probably in part to keep Gilbert honest and because he didn't fully trust him, so they sort of had to acquiesce to keeping him content. LeBron signed a 4 year deal with LA, with no opt outs. He's there for the long haul. The Lakers have no reason to do his bidding. It's very possible Magic, himself, is actually disappointed with Luke's performance and took it upon himself to take him to task for it, as opposed to this idea that Magic Johnson of all people is just doing LeBron's bidding, but "LeGM" is the easy narrative so people are going to attribute anything that happens with the Lakers to that. I get it.

Bledsoe is just dumb, but there was still 5.5 seconds on the clock, so there was more than enough time to get an alley-oop and a quick foul. Worst case scenario, you need another 3 with 4 seconds on the clock.

a b and c are all true, but none of those preclude that Cleveland did some terrible deals to appease Le(GM)Bron. The JR Smith and TT extensions were bad, over-market contracts even for a win-now team. It's one thing to have your owner over a barrel and force him to shell out for good players, but forcing him to sign role players to these massive contracts is what left Cleveland such a bleak, threadbare roster in y4.

In LeBron's defense, he probably also wanted to fuck over Gilbert for the sake of fucking over Gilbert, which is understandable.

That's LeBron taking care of his bros, and I respect him for that.

The TT and JR deals are bad, and were bad in the moment. The Clarkson/Nance trade was questionable at best. Nance is a nice player but now they have to pay him. Clarkson is not good. But those moves were done with the short term in mind. Maximizing LeBron's time in Cleveland, and they made the Finals every year, so its' hard to really say they were completely horrible moves. But they get attributed to "LeBron the GM", right or wrong, is what i'm saying.

I would never listen to a coach that was in the same draft class as me. LeBron is a saint for even publicly entertaining Coach Walton up to this point.

Add me to each team please. I love the sport so I cannot claim allegiance to only one team. I love every team.

Honestly, though, he had to drag that team to the Finals that last year.

But they were kind of hamstrung. If they let TT and JR walk, did they have any money left to get anything other than people taking the minimum anyway? It's not like the Cavs had a wealth of young talent. They had Waiters, Kyrie, Thompson, Dellavedova, Bennett, and the pick that became Wiggins when Lebron came on.

Put me down as the number one Celtics fan please.

That way when I talk huge shit about how horrible Celtics fans are you know it must be true.

God we are the absolute worst. My favorite memory of basketball is Paul Pierce shitting on the Staples Center floor. That team was ugly inside and out. Boston basketball baby!

Dribbling is for casuals. A real basketball team can score points without dribbling. This is basic knowledge for anyone who spends as much time researching and studying the game.

Truth. I was playing at my local rec the other day and took 9-10 steps without dribbling. Some dudes on the other team got jealous and started saying I can't do it, or I was breaking the rules. Cowards! Since when is being good breaking the rules?

This is what liberals do when they cannot stop you. They try to change the rules. Pathetic.

I haven't followed Nance in a bit; is he actually good for anything other than the occasional monster poster? Guy seems to be injured all the time, too.
