Depends on what you consider issues? No ultrawide support, and PCgaming wiki says you can't go over 60 FPS.

Other than that, I don't see anything bad.
No ultrawide is not a big deal to me as I'm playing on 1440P monitor. I was talking about things like controller support (DS4 with button prompts supported?) and maybe some bad PC optimization, but if there's nothing like that there I guess I'll bite.
Thanks.

huh. Steam just randomly asked me to re-verify my e-mail with a green banner pop-up when I turned on my PC and the client booted... Is that supposed to happen every now and again?

You'll need a mod for DS4 icons. PCGamingWiki has a section on that: https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Dragon_Ball_FighterZ

Yes, it's happened to me from time to time as well.

I see, that makes me feel better. Thanks for quick response! :)

Are there any issues with the PC version of Dragon Ball FighterZ? It's on sale and I seriously consider buying it.
No issues that I found, it's the best platform to play the game. It's a great port.

Fighting games are always locked at 60fps, it's related to gameplay.

Nintendo fans salty because of switch games being playable on PC and using the piracy excuse to shit up the thread. Classic.

Honestly, if they don't see that as a way to preserve a title they love, who cares and why wasting your time trying to make them see reason? Just wait until they'll be unable to play a title they actually own because their system broke down and it's too old to fix and too niche to easily replace.

I'm grateful I can play on PC games I used to own on console systems that are now sitting half disassembled (due to me unsuccessfully trying to fix them) in the closet.

Yeah, I get that roughly once a year.

In a similar (but far more annoying) vein, I recently got a Google alert saying "someone has your password". This was unnerving, until I found out that their classification process apparently doesn't accept that some people sometimes log into VPNs. In fact, they seem to trust that process more than the users: I noted in the security interface that this login was, in fact, me, and it told me that it will still display the warning "for my security". Ugh.

Well, it's technically correct. Someone, aka "you", has your password.
In fact, anytime someone logs into their account, Google could send them this highly relevant security alert.

Its funnier when they let you inside your own email and they just send you an email about someone accessing your email from a different ip than normal which makes me think... what would that protect? I can just delete it if I were hacking into it.

Star Ocean The Last Hope port is such a garbage. It can't save the fullscreen option, so everytime I need to toggle full screen back, I had 4K resolution and the game launches in a window showing the upper left part of the screen every single time. The DS4 sometimes is recognized other times isn't, I can't find a way to quit to the desktop, alt+f4 doesn't work, I need to kill the game via task manager.

The game itself is bland and generic, I think I'll accept the fact I burned 10€ on this and uninstall it.

Weird, didn't have any of these issues. The game natively supports the DS4, so you might have issues if Steam is set to provide Xinput commands. I just turned off Steam Input for that specific game (and then restart Steam once for the setting to work). Nah, I confused this with FF XII I think, no this game doesn't support DS4, but I didn't have issues with getting it to work with Steam Input. For DS4 prompts you could use this mod (https://steamcommunity.com/app/609150/discussions/0/1488866813764270736/)

I think you quit the game by first pausing the screen and then pressing a button on the pause screen? It was dumb, but not difficult to get used to.

I mean, if a port of a 3D game doesn't support arbitrary rendering resolutions then you know that either zero effort or zero understanding of what a PC is went into it.

Dunno if an official statement was made, but I really hope the game gets polished up by release.

Cant Nvidia or AMD do anything about it ?
I mean, at driver level.
Only with per-game profiles, like there used to be for MSAA compatibility in the late DX9 / early DX11 age.
I mean, if they got someone very competent to basically work on it full time and built the right infrastructure, they could probably do it for ~2-4 games a month.
I guess it's not worth it (as in, the overlap of people buying high-end GPUs and then wanting to use them in a large part to play B-games with mediocre ports is probably tiny).

Can devs sell Steam keys outside of Steam without also offering the game to be purchased through Steam itself?

HellSign comes out in a few days and its BASICALLY a Supernatural roguelike. More people should have it on their radar.

*no clue if it's actually a roguelike. Seems like it could be.

I guess I'm glad I never went full in on Flickr. Used to have some photos up there a long time ago but I nuked them a while back and now I don't even have an account. When smugmug bought them I felt vindicated, I mean who names their company/service smugmug.

DS4 works good but sometimes it's not recognized. Anyway I just nuked the game from my account, sometimes it's better to accept you lose money instead of losing your time on top of that.

Is there any good list/compilation of "essential" GTA V mods? Looking for mainly visual overhauls, gameplay fixes/tweaks, don't want to go bonkers with weird stuff though (first playthrough).

It looks super interesting. I was honestly disappointed in finding out it's only releasing in Early Access. I might pick it up anyway depending on how complete the early access actually is.

I'm off at Blizzcon since it takes place on my Birthday (jk I would have gone anyhow), but word on the street is there is gonna be some sort of Diablo announcement today. They sure have a big demo area for Diablo III if it's just a switch version that's already on store shelves.

Well, Smugmug managed to stick around long enough since it's exclusively subscription based. What Yahoo changed with flickr's free tier was never going to last.

Yeah, I get that often and it's fucking annoying. I don't even use VPN, must be because of 4G connection and dynamic IP.

Sure, they just need to set regional pricing for only one (preferably least populous) region.
Bam, nobody can buy the game on Steam

You need to set price for all regions.

But it's still against rules.

But technically, you can always generate beta keys and sell those (and thanks to steam direct there's actually [at least] one game that does this with physical boxed copies).

Picked up Little Witch Academia, SAO: Fatal Bullet Deluxe, and God Eater 2 (Which came with GE1 Remaster for free.)

The bandai weekend sale is great.

Funny, lots of products didn't bother to set the prices for new regions and Valve doesn't seem to be able to do anything about it.
Another workaround would be just setting the prices to $9999.99 or something like that, and selling the keys on dev website for normal price.
(I'm sure it's also against TOS and Valve wouldn't like devs doing something like that)

Yeah, that's special case (and stupid decision from Valve). But if they ever want to change price, they'll have to set prices.

Would like to know this as well.
Finally have a decent enough PC to play. Never finished on console so treating it as a first play through as well.

Except the game supports 16:10 resolutions in addition to 16:9.

The port isn't great, but it was serviceable enough for a trashy old JRPG with fantastic combat. They did more than the bare minimum, if only just.

I like how the GOG Store cannot scale up the 320x200 screenshots, you basically have to open another tab and zoom yourself to see anything.

It's also funny to see how many old PC companies (so ID and Epic, among others who are now long since gone) were doing essentially Mario clones (ID literally asked Nintendo to port Mario to PC, and later made their software into Commander Keen)
