Loved season 1, but I'm going to wait and see how this one is received before I decide if I should watch. Did that for season 2 and I don't regret it.
Trailer looks alright though. Does that bootleg Christ the Redeemer statue actually exist in the USA?

I really hope the twist vibe, that the Detective and main character is actually the killer, that I'm picking up from the trailer isn't the case.

The second season was meh (though I think people exaggerate how bad it is due to the quality of the first season).

Looks dumb tbh. Nothing in that trailer was exciting or interesting.
I loved the first season. Still think it's the best single-season of a TV show ever, despite the relatively lame cliched ending.

Mahershala is a GOAT tier actor. I can not fucking wait for this.
In terms of tone and atmosphere, this brings back memories of the phenomenal journey Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson took us on in season 1.

I'll always be bummed Jeremy Saulnier didn't direct more episodes. But I hope he laid out a solid visual foundation for the other directors to follow.
Season 1 was seriously some of the best television ever in my opinion. I think there's an argument to be made that it will be impossible to recapture that again because of how unusual it was to have an auteur like Fukunaga helm the entire show.
It's a fucking shame, honestly, because I think he could have been amazing with a good script.
Now he'll never get the chance.
Yeah, him leaving the project on bad terms has me worried but I'll check it out.
Looks good, I'll watch it, but the trailers for S2 were amazing also. So this doesn't mean much.
Might just be me but it was kinda hard to make out what Ali was saying occasionally.
