This seems pretty bland. The animation definitely doesn't do the action scenes any favors and the heavy action focus doesn't make the characters seem like they have any personality beyond "...is a girl."

You know, I realize that the original series re-used a ton of animation, but still...it looked a lot better than this. It's interesting to see a new She-Ra series, though.

The show isn't purely action. This trailer is focused on that yes. Particularly when it comes to showing off the diverse character designs and hints at the kind of powers we'll see.

It objectively didn't.

Yeah, I am not feeling it. I like the old She-Ra, and I wish this was a big more closer to the 2002 He-man aesthetically. Then again, I acknowledge this is a kid's show, yet I will simultaneously contest the point that they could have done more.

I want to like this!

.... But sadly I don't :/

I'll give it a shot when it's available, hopefully it's more than what it seems and does something interesting.

The art style is kinda weird. It's like they combined Nu Voltron and Steven Universe. I like the individual character designs, but some of them look strange standing side by side.

I'm still really looking forward to this though.

Somehow I noticed how she NEVER blinks her eyes in that video.

Anyway, the new show has a strange artstyle yes, but the animation is the problem here.

It's not the prettiest looking show ever, however, it absolutely has way more personality than the original. Also not seeing any issues with the animation so much as the editing of the trailer. Literally on 2 of the various shots of dialogue area of that actual scene the rest has syced audio/

Don't really see it. Feels very run of the mill with a lot of generic trope character. The artstyle certainly doesn't do much to give the show "personality" either

Not really a problem for me since I value quality in areas other than visuals more than anything else - and they tell me the lead writer is very good at her job - but I would be lying if I said I did not expect more on that front when they announced this project.

Since we're still talking about a Netflix/DreamWorks production, I actually hoped something comparable to Voltron. Really like how that show looks.

That theme is boring musically and vocally. The original opening theme didn't have anything in the way of lyrics aside from saying She-Ra over and over again like He-Man's but that music could get you pumped to watch it, it had energy that this lacks.

I would've loved a sort of inspiration taken from the 2002 MOTU style/design but yeah, that's long gone.

Now if only they'd do a cover of the original show's closing song and used for the movie that introduced Adora/She-Ra that was written Erika Scheimer who was involved with both She-Ra and He-Man and daughter of Filmation's founder.

Obligatory full version that wouldn't fit the show since Prince Adam doesn't seem to exist yet.

Not feeling any of this at all. It just looks so bland and lifeless, especially compared to other recent DreamWorks stuff like Voltron, TrollHunters, Harvey St., etc.

Theme is also not for me.

I'll watch it with my daughter, but very skeptical at this point.

Mhm. Looks good, but the original art gave me more hope. In action it looks a little bland.

Jigga what? There are more frames in this post then 2 eps of She-Ra or He-Ham

I think people gotta keep in mind that He-Man and She-Ra were a product of a time of cartoon syndication where, low budget aside they were airing Monday through Friday with over 220 combined episodes over just three or four years. That shit had to be hectic.

Hmm, gotta agree with the animation sentient regarding the action scenes, which is weird, considering Dreamworks' animation is fine with their other shows.

I'll still check it out when it drops.

What with those Netflix animated shows like The Dragon Prince and to a lesser extent Voltron that have jokes so out of place? This looks that way too

Heh and there's people complaining about Kowl being a plushie... People actually liked Kowl?

BTW, reviews for She-Ra have been coming out and all of them that I've seen have been positive so far.
