The show isn't purely action. This trailer is focused on that yes. Particularly when it comes to showing off the diverse character designs and hints at the kind of powers we'll see. This seems pretty bland. The animation definitely doesn't do the action scenes any favors and the heavy action focus doesn't make the characters seem like they have any personality beyond "...is a girl."
It objectively didn't.You know, I realize that the original series re-used a ton of animation, but still...it looked a lot better than this.

It's not the prettiest looking show ever, however, it absolutely has way more personality than the original. Also not seeing any issues with the animation so much as the editing of the trailer. Literally on 2 of the various shots of dialogue area of that actual scene the rest has syced audio/Somehow I noticed how she NEVER blinks her eyes in that video.
Anyway, the new show has a strange artstyle yes, but the animation is the problem here.

Jigga what? There are more frames in this post then 2 eps of She-Ra or He-HamYou know, I realize that the original series re-used a ton of animation, but still...it looked a lot better than this. It's interesting to see a new She-Ra series, though.
