Many find the movement speed reasonable. Not to mention you have a horse, why are you on foot? Even the slowest horse trot is much faster than walking.

I mean I get that you're impatient and have places to be or whatever, but this is a legitimate design decision, which I imagine is tied to the focus on plausibility. Dudes sprinting everywhere might be cool in GTA, not so much here. If you don't like it, play something else, it's not like this is the only open world game on the market.

Hilarious condescension towards a legitimate criticism about the game. By your logic if everyone stopped playing because they didn't like one aspect of the design then everyone would have dropped it.

So I still have not progressed the story, how do I break Micah out of jail without getting a $300 bounty?

Someone must have made this remark already 872 times in this thread, but it just occurred to me that
this is the year of the main protagonist saying "BOOOOYYY".
At least in the two biggest games I've played in 2018. BOY BOY BOY.

Pretty much true, but I think there's something to be said of a possible improvement of adding a bit of speed, even a slow jog, when moving the analog stick all the way forward.

I feel like this might be one of the best games I have ever played. I've seriously never played anything like this. The original RDR was amazing but it was cookie cutter compared to this. This tries to be so much more.

I was very surprised by how this was able to be resolved.

It's rad that shooting the slaver gives positive karma.

There's a couple of journal entries about him.

They get progressively more hostile as you learn who he is and the last one just says something like "went to see Mr Compton again. That's the last thing he saw."

. I want to take a break from the story line as it doesn't really interest me. I just want to explore the world a bit and focus on making money/crafting. What's the best way to make decent money early game? I already got a few bounties I need to pay off lol.

Anyone know why I can no longer holster my carbine on my back? When I press the holster button, I just hold it by my side with one hand.

For people in Saint Denis, where is the shaving station at camp? It wasn't by the bed like it usually is

I seriously can't fucking wait to mow those kkk fuckers down. I'm in act 4 now and I still haven't seen one. Gonna be epic when it goes down. I've pretty much mastered the controls at this point.

Going to the theater in Saint Denis was a nice treat.

It was great to see Arthur's bashfulness and shy demeanor when it comes to Mary Linton

So my game can't get passed the title screen. Don't tell me I have to reinstall again.

Edit: Nvm. Deleting profile settings did the trick.

I stabbed the eugenics guy ranting in saint denis across the street from the theatre in broad daylight with a cop down the block and lots of pedestrians... was afraid of becoming wanted and had my horse ready, half way to running to my horse I realized nobody cared lol

Also ... stopped by a lynched body to cut him down on my travels , very scary events transpired after. This game is too much.

I don't know if this was mentioned before in the thread but I just found out that double tapping left on the d-pad brings up the game log and this is where you can see random tips characters give you and you can see your challenge progress too.

Lol mild spoilers for the quest line where the father needs wood/lumber to build his house near valentine.

so I waited for his house to be built/sold and I went back there in the middle of the night. He obviously was not there but I went into the house and there was 150$ on the counter and I took it. Went back there when it was daylight and I collected another 150$ from him for selling the house.

I really wish the NPCs would follow through on what they said they would do.

Two examples

1) there was a guy who was searching for gold and he managed to find a gold nugget. He said he was going to show his wife so I followed him. Followed him for a good 10 minutes but it seemed like he was just going in circles around the area.

2) there was a group of 3 men taking practice shots in the middle of the forest. Once they were done they said they were going to wreck havoc in a certain town. I followed them there and they did nothing and just went straight through it.

Hunting can bring you in a bit, same goes for looting.

Just note that I think if you have a bounty he won't give you the money. I had one and he was telling me to go away/leave and I figured it was because the game somehow figured out I had taken the money already. Paid my bounty later on and went to visit him again just to check and he was super friendly and gave it to me!

PS - I shot him the first time when he told me to go away lol. He respawns.

I had a really crazy moment tonight regarding a stranger I helped days ago.

There was a guy with an arm injury. He was dying so I ran him to the doctor who amputated his arm. Today I was going through town, and a guy was being hung for murder. It was him! Arthur made mention that he saved him once. Cop responded that we can't save them all. Soooo awesome!

Seems like the best outfits come from the trapper, I need to do some hunting.

This is why Bethesda games are special, you can literally follow an NPC from their home to their activities outside of the town, until they get back to home again.

The NPC AI in R* games seem complex, but only on the surface.

There's so much shit to do in this game but somehow my favourite thing is slow walking around the camp while eating my stew, listening to the gang interactions/arguments and heckling Uncle/Micah whenever I come across them.

I did search this thread and medals, and did not find anything conclusive, so I am wondering, is there any reward for getting Gold in every mission besides and Achievement or Trophy or is that it? Like is there anything in game that rewards you for getting Gold Stars on missions? I have a little bit of all stars, but mostly Bronze. Just wondering if there is any incentive in game besides an Achievement??
