Here's a recent developer diary:
Does anyone know when it'll hit Steam? I'm totally in for $15. :)
It's a $15 download only game so it's not a full studio effort, as they're working on multiple projects in-house including Rune and support for CoD.
It's a very quiet release. So bo reviews, no marketing, and the combat looked super poor when it was shown
What is going on with this game
The game is fully voiced during second playthrough
How to not save money on your budget.
The gameplay has looked quite bad in videos, and who knows how the concept and FMV will end up, but I might pick it up. It's just so peculiar. Good on SquareEnix for giving projects like this a chance.

Sam from Ars said:If there's some "a-ha!" revelation that eventually delivers a payoff, I'm not sure how much more of the "game" I could endure to get to it. The interactive sequences are currently awful and buggy, while the non-interactive ones are slow, plodding, and severely lack the kind of visual framing or meaning-loaded symbolism that I might expect from a game about a deaf person (heightened senses and all that). If you're wondering why Square Enix has done nothing to promote The Quiet Man (I'd certainly never heard of it until last week), let me float a theory: because it just plain sucks.
Lol man, i've been jumping around this video a fair bit, unless i'm missing stuff, literally almost every enemy model is either black or a stereotypical latino gangster. whewww
