Man, going by peoples reaction to PT every year and using it as some kinda warning about digital, you'd think what Konami took away was a complete game that was fully priced instead of a tech demo for a game that was in the early stages of being made.

I think it sucks but it's definitely not a great example to use when arguing against digital games.

I've never been so glad I have my headphones set to low volume.

I was browsing the steam storefront and looked up game, and when it went to the game's store page, my ears were suddenly flooded with a static noise. I looked at the volume and saw that it was set to mute so I had no idea why I was getting that feedback noise. i had to back to the main storefront page and the noise stopped. holy hell, that was abrupt.

I finished Nioh last month and while I enjoyed it, I feel like it went on a tad bit too long. Picked up Devil May Cry Collection, I hope to beat 1-4 and DmC before 5 comes out.

Neither of those affect me at all. I can leave my computer on all the time for convenience and it's not an environmental crime. I resent the people in this thread trying to imply that it is.

It's a great phone, Face ID isn't the best but it does the job.

Ever since I started doing this (about 5 years ago), about 80% off the little hitches or glitches or stutters or oddities have completely disappeared. Windows likes being shut down.

Yup. If you are using Windows it's especially crazy to just keep it running. I know people at work who have all sorts of random issues especially with things getting super slow. Most of the time they are people who don't shut down or reboot unless forced.

Also as someone else mentioned disable fastboot.

It's such a console specific problem too.

Although it's hard to frame that argument further without it lookin' like a Piracy endorsement, and I don't wanna get warned lol.

Overload is in the new Twtich Prime games. Will have to resub for that. Weird it's going in there when it hasn't had a really decent sale yet.

No, and now is a pretty shit time to do that anyway. There are constant changes to Steam at the moment and with the new client on the way (likely early 2019 once support for xp and vista get booted), there are likely to be a larger set of changes in place that make any work now a waste of time

PT isn't a warning against digital games in general, it's a warning against digital games made by petty assholes (Konami) and released in a walled garden ecosystem where they have infinitely more control over the content than you do.

Never. I didn't have any problems with it yet since its introduction, saves ~5secs even when using a fast NVMe SSD and gets me under 15s from pressing the power button to desktop.

My computer will sometimes decide to randomly wake itself up if i leave it in sleep mode thanks to a weird windows 10 issue so i turn it off when not in use.

Oh no, a tech demo for an axed game that people have become obsessively attached to is gone. Truly, our digital future is a dystopia.

Meanwhile if we're using edge case examples I'll never own Ninja Five-O because of its microscopic print run and I'm not interested in the astronomic prices it goes for nor the gamble of buying a legit GBA cart over that. But at least if I did own it I'd be able to bury it with me in death or whatever fetishized attachment comes from owning physical games that will largely go untouched.

I sound overly aggressive about this but I'm mostly angry over the dog pee on my carpet. Most physical releases on consoles are still reliant on large day one patches, the idea of current gen physical ownership is largely a farce.

So Square is promoting The Quiet Man saying it's only three hours long and offering wallpapers for desktop and mobile in the "limited" edition? Just...wow.
Also the game looks superjunky but not in a funny way.

I'm reading the Black Clover manga. The story is kinda shitty. All the protagonists are the same, they think their opponents are weak and no attacks can harm them. Especially all the elves

Welcome to steam reviews.

In this case game didnt have chinese language at launch (due to tencent agreement) so it got reviewed bombed ( yes theres other issues people had but steam mostly got reviewed bombed for Chinese language.

Faat forward to now. Game has been patched alot chinese language is added in photo mode added newly added co op mode etc and these reviews still exist thus making it look dire

I can't believe Namco is actually discounting some of their season passes on Steam, like Fatal Bullet or Dark Souls 3 (altho this one was already discounted on Halloween):

Does anyone know if there is a way to filter out games already in my Steam library from the store pages. Ive got about 350 ish games now and whenever a Steam sale rolls round i find that i own most of the first few pages worth of games so could do with an option to not show them.

It's the goofballs who gloat about dedicating an entire PS4 (offline) to "preserving" it. I mean, it's a demo. I don't care if it's the greatest demo ever made, it's a freaking demo. And not a demo with divergent game. What can you possibly do with this after the Xth playthrough. You've seen everything there's possibly to see.

I've been there in the past. Did everything (to no avail) and then it disappeared when I finally bought a new keyboard. Think I had it happen again (couple years later) and cleaning out the new keyboard seemed to cure it again.

I still do shutdowns at night (since it boots so quickly anyways), but a sensitive component can seemingly create ghosts in it.

I usually turn my PC off, and I have a simple switch that I flip to actually turn off the power completely for both the PC and monitor, no passive use whatsoever.
With a fast SSD, my boot times are pretty short. Since I begin gaming sessions by getting a cup of coffee, it's usually waiting on the login screen long before I am back.

Black Clover is generic shonen. One description of it was that it was Naruto but instead of ninjas it is magic.
It is rather impressive looking back, at how Hunter X Hunter actually had a freakin' video game as part of its main storyline and had its own rules and mechanics that the characters utilize to gain advantage and their goals.

That's pretty much the impression I got. It's ninjas but with magic. I think naruto pretty much destroyed the genre

How is Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment? Was it the bonus game for the newest game in the series?
