There really is no happy medium when they're only making that many copies of this. This game will sell out instantly whether it's split up or they go all in on one edition.
I really just hope that some of their bigger or more unique games have more than this. If something like Fata Morgana or Spelunky only have this many copies then there's no reason to try.

Not gonna lie, feels pretty good living in the lrg world where everything I want is abundant or infinitely preorderable.
Glad to see double switch is preorder... I want to get it but I always prefer to bundle with something to save on shipping.

In the exact same boat. I was told that I'd need to wait for more shipments to be made first but it's kinda insane at this point. Hope to god it doesn't happen with my CSH CE or my Golf Story
Is Night Trap really still gonna sell out instantly? I would have figured by now most people would have gotten at least some version of it lol.
Also are we still getting a code for a discount at LRG this week for keeping Golf Story? Would be cool to use on Layers of Fear before it's gone.

Agreements may have been signed a year ago, there's no way to know what LRG committed to...
I wouldn't flip those numbers. S&S has an unlimited version for anybody that desires a physical copy, which you can still readily buy. Dragon Sinker will never see another release. Also Revenant Saga and Antiquia Lost both easily sold 3000 Vita copies in moments. It's plain odd that Dragon Sinker isn't soldout, it's supposed to be the best Kemco RPG we've gotten.
Salt & Sanctuary was 2,800. I think you are forgetting the CE.

Welp, tried to cancel Golf Story and was shot down. Apparently you could only do it over the weekend and them telling you this was hidden away in another email whose header did not at all really inform you of this. I did not even learn of it until this thread and seeing the Best Buy links posted by Wario64. Sucks and they seemingly could not give one fuck how long you have been a customer and if you have spent hundreds with them which is the most disheartening part.
With my last hurrah with my Best Buy GCU Golf Story was my final purchase but will most likely now cancel. Not sure when they will ship but if anyone is interested in them with the -25% discount plus their local tax(my total was about $26 with NY tax) send me a message.

Yeah they're pretty customer unfriendly about many things. They market the small fan-focused company vibe, and they use the small thing as an excuse when it comes to support or shipping times.. But if you need some small friendly service, forget it.
I'm sorry this happened to you. We sent this Newsletter to 90,000 people and it's the best way to get news from us. Not sure how we could make the heading more obvious.

I did receive it but I thought it would pertain to Yooka-Laylee and possible other future releases. Did not think to check it to see if Golf Story would be one of the games as it was never stated.

Well, at least you'll get some kind of discount code for a future order which hopefully offsets some of the discount you could have gotten with BB.
11 words out of over 1,700. Yeah it could've been a bit more obvious. The clearest way would've been sending a separate email to everyone who pre-ordered Golf Story telling them they could cancel if they want to. Which should've happened since they placed the orders without having any idea it would be sold at Best Buy, unlike Yooka-Laylee.
Yeah. Guess the customers who bought it and aren't subscribed to the newsletter are also out of luck.

Not sure I wanna bother with Grim Fandango. If I remember correctly, the PS4 version had its fair share of bugs. I'm pretty sure I lost a good hour worth of time because I had to restart a chapter entirely.
As for everyone complaining about golf story, what did you want them to do? They sent you an email that you should've read but you didn't. That's on you. If they change the refund terms for one person they'd have to change it for everyone or risk even more pissed off people.

I played through Grim Fandango on the PS4, and I don't recall any major bugs, but those can be so personal so who knows.

There's been a couple situations where I've felt they were being a little underhanded. Cosmic Star Heroine is the one that comes to mind.
With golf story and Yooka, I just feel it's a little different. These are open preorders, so no one is stopping Bestbuy or GameStop or Walmart from buying these and selling them, potentially at a markup.
People are going to shit on LRG for any minor infraction. They're not a perfect company, but they get it right most of the time and at least they try to be transparent.

Yup, I got hit with import fees for my iam8bit purchase as well.
And covers printed upside down. And sticker labels glued to the disc to cover misprints. And...
speaking of delay, i wonder how many people that had a time change last weekend will forget about LRG being stuck an hour earlier
Outlast will not be at Best Buy. We've already announced the first two games, Golf Story and Yooka-Laylee. The third game is unannounced and will be at Best Buy first.
