Whoa! Thanks for this! I'm looking forward to Anthem even if a lot of people are quick to dismiss it due to being an EA product...

I really worry they won't pump enough content into this game to sustain it, but what they've shown off so far looks fun as hell. Combat looks fun and weighty, and flying around just looks gorgeous. I'm excited as hell for this.

Damn the graphics at 1:19 and the draw distance took me by surprise. Everything looked pretty damn good tbh. I just wish it was a bit more social, but I get why it isn't.

Dunno if it's Destiny fatigue kicking in or that looked really bland. I hope they have cool stuff in late/endgame.

Really like what I'm seeing here. The intercepor's melee attacks are damn cool. I'll probably end up going with the ranger or storm class. The only thing I don't like about the storm class is it seems like the attacks lack punch.

This shit looks really good, the graphics are "next-gen", but people here will start dismiss the game because: "EA".

It doesn't look anywhere near 'next-gen' whatever that means.

But the scope is impressive there is no denying that

It seems like there is a big embargo releasing right now, and then a live stream later today.

Looks more and more like a less graphically dated Warframe, which is a good thing

The excitement for this game, from a message board where anything and everything EA is universally reviled...is so weird. Is this so people can be outraged? Because this is a EA GaaS game, which means it will have MTX and DLC out the wazoo. Where are the people that swore off EA after Battlefront 2?

No to mention that everything we've seen from the gameplay looks mediocre.

Let me say this again: this will be a critical flop and it will have MTX that is the definition of what everyone here hates.

No way this game is going to flop. This forum doesn't represent the majority of gamers.

By people you just mean people here, right? Because the average consumer couldn't care less about a game being published by EA or Kellogg.

Individual pages for each suit is now up with descriptions and customization options in addition to the page about Javelin ultimates: https://www.ea.com/games/anthem/news/javelin-ultimates-in-anthem?isLocalized=true

https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/anthem/news/meet-the-colossus-javelin
Appetite for Destruction
We've all been there. Faced up against a roiling horde of fanged monstrosities, firing off round after useless round into the ocean of carapaced beasts, getting absolutely nowhere, and slowly at that. Well friends, we don't have to live like that anymore. Meet Anthem's Colossus, a hulking war machine designed to clear out entire hives of vicious predatory fauna with mounted artillery, heavy arms, or even, yes, a flamethrower. It's got reinforced armor plating. It's got jet propulsion. It's got a cannon. I'm pretty sure it's even got a cupholder (it doesn't). If you're looking to trample through the wilderness in comfort with heavy artillery strapped to your back, the Colossus is for you.

NOTE: As the game is still in development, all game features and ability names may be subject to change and there will be more to share. We'll update as necessary.

Colossus Javelin Weaponry

Each javelin may have two weapons for their loadout, and can change them (along with the rest of their loadout) between missions. The Colossus cannot use the two smallest weapon types, Pistols and SMGs, but is the only javelin sturdy enough to wield any of the Heavy Weapons.

Colossus Javelin Melee Ability

Heavy Smash: The Colossus can use its massive chassis as a weapon both in a diving smash attack from the air and a hammering melee attack. This not only clears out smaller enemies instantly, but has a chance to knock down foes and leave them open to follow-up attacks.

Colossus Javelin Ordnance Launcher Gear

Utilizing the incredible strength of the Colossus, these shoulder-mounted weapons are capable of dishing out punishment to enemies near or far (your choice).

High Explosive Mortar: Launches an explosive projectile that deals heavy area-of-effect damage.

Burst Mortar: Fires a volley of smaller mortars that spread out to pummel a wider area of effect.

Firewall Mortar: Fires a specialized mortar round that ignites a wall of flame, heavily damaging enemies that try to move through it.

Lightning Coil: Strikes a single random target with an arc of electricity in front of the Colossus, prioritizing targets with status effects.

Shock Coil: Emits waves of electricity out from the Colossus, damaging all nearby enemies.

Colossus Javelin Heavy Assault Launcher Gear

The Colossus allows for the fitting of a number of wrist-mounted weapons that can complement its other destructive options.

Heavy Cannon: Fires a large rocket in a targeted direction.

Flame Thrower: Unleashes a continuous stream of fire to ignite enemies.

Flak Cannon: Barrages nearby enemies with a short-range arc of projectiles.

Railgun: Devastates a single-target with a forceful and precise kinetic round.

Acid Spitter: Expels an acid projectile to damage enemies.

Colossus Javelin Support Gear
As the preeminent battletank, the Colossus is capable of supporting its allies by decreasing incoming damage or diverting enemy fire toward itself.

Taunt: Forces all enemies within a certain radius to divert their attacks to the Colossus.

Deflector Pulse: Gives all nearby allies a damage-resistance buff.

Colossus Javelin Ultimate Ability

Siege Cannon : Lancers can deploy a special ultimate ability that displays the true strength of their javelin exosuit. The Siege Cannon is ideal for clearing out smaller enemies, controlling enemies in a choke point, or putting some extra damage on a boss.

The Not-so-gentle Giant

With its focus on damage mitigation and explosive power, the Colossus is a favorite among Freelancers who prefer a brute force solution to their problems. Whether you need the straightforward approach for a mission or you just like a little roomier fit, the Colossus is an amazing addition to your javelin arsenal.
https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/anthem/news/meet-the-ranger-javelin
All Freelancers train on the Ranger first in Anthem. Not because it's the easiest, but because it's the most versatile. In the hands of a master lancer, the Ranger can achieve feats of combat prowess that no other javelin can touch.

The Ranger javelin has a deep bag of tricks to draw from, and there is no combat situation it can't take on effectively. With access to a wide variety of weapon types, the Ranger is a true wild card that can complement any team and any mission.

NOTE: As the game is still in development, all game features and ability names may be subject to change and there will be more to share. We'll update as necessary.

Ranger Javelin Weaponry

Each javelin may have two weapons for their loadout, and can change them (along with the rest of their loadout) between missions. The Ranger is capable of wielding every weapon type except for Heavy Weapons (which can only be used by the Colossus javelin).

Ranger Javelin Melee Ability

Shock Mace: When the Ranger javelin chooses to mix it up at close range, it deploys an electrified mace to send a medically-inadvisable amount of voltage through its enemies.

Ranger Javelin Grenade Gear

Quick to deploy, grenades lay down area damage for effective crowd control at a moment's notice. Modified grenades can be found out in the field and can be equipped to create different effects, including Frost and Seeker Grenades.

Frag Grenade: Deals impressive damage in a large area of effect.

Inferno Grenade: Ignites an area, dealing damage and setting enemies ablaze.

Frost Grenade: Damages and freezes enemies in place.

Seeker Grenades: Splits into smaller sub-munitions which seek out the nearest enemy.

Sticky Bomb: Attaches to a single target for a contained, high-damage blast.

Ranger Javelin Assault Launcher Gear

The Ranger's wrist launcher allows for a variety of modules to be loaded on for an extra burst of firepower. This provides a more flexible combat approach that can take down threats quickly.

Homing Missile: Fires a projectile that seeks out a target for a small area-of-effect explosion.

Energy Pulse: Unleashes a blast of pure energy, hitting a single target with incredible force.

Spark Beam: Fires a sustained beam of energy for continuous damage.

Venom Darts: Launches a volley of darts that seek out a target for acid damage.

Blast Missile: Fires a missile that explodes for area-of-effect damage.

Ranger Javelin Support Gear

A skillful field general, the Ranger is capable of creating special fields that allow its allies to gain a tactical advantage.

Bulwark Point: Deploys a spherical field which deflects incoming enemy projectiles.

Muster Point: Creates a field which increases weapon damage for teammates who enter its radius. (NOTE: in a previous article, this ability had been listed as reducing gear cooldown. The ability has been changed to increase weapon damage instead.)

Ranger Javelin Ultimate Ability

Multi-Target Missile Battery: Lancers can deploy a special ultimate ability that displays the true strength of their javelin exosuit. Dealing precise damage across a wide swath of the battlefield, the Ranger's Multi-target Missile Battery allows it to target many fast-moving enemies with guided projectiles.

Your First Javelin

With its focus on precise damage and versatility, the Ranger javelin can suit any number of skill levels. Novice pilots will appreciate the wide array of weapons and abilities they can use to sharpen their skills, while experts will gravitate toward the Ranger's emphasis on excellent marksmanship and skill mastery. So, whether you're the newest Freelancer in your group or the most veteran, the Ranger is the gold standard for combat efficiency.
https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/anthem/news/meet-the-interceptor-javelin
As the smallest and sleekest of the javelins, the Interceptor is favored by Corvus' long-range scouts, infiltrators, and assassins. But while it may not be the mightiest javelin in your arsenal, its agility and evasion are unmatched, and it has more than enough power to bring the fight to anyone foolish enough to underestimate it.

Always Two Steps Ahead

The Interceptor javelin might not have the imposing silhouette of the Colossus, but it still knows how to pack a punch. The Interceptor excels at getting in close to inflict damage and weaken its enemies, then dashing away before they can react. With powerful blades and a full suite of devastating abilities, the Interceptor is both incredibly self-reliant and an excellent supporting teammate.

NOTE: As the game is still in development, all game features and ability names may be subject to change and there will be more to share. We'll update as necessary.

Interceptor Javelin Weaponry

Each javelin may have two weapons for their loadout, and can change them (along with the rest of their loadout) between missions. The Interceptor javelin is capable of wielding every weapon type except for Heavy Weapons (which can only be used by the Colossus javelin).

Interceptor Javelin Exosuit Melee Ability

Every javelin has an innate melee ability which can be used to deal damage to targets at very close range. This ability does not need to be earned, nor can it be changed.

Double-Bladed Daggers: The Interceptor uses a pair of double-bladed daggers to deliver a multi-hit flurry of slashes, dealing damage in a chain of powerful attacks that can be continued indefinitely.

Interceptor Javelin Exosuit Technique Gear

The Interceptor javelin uses a variety of gear to perform devastating techniques on the battlefield. Gear is picked up as loot during missions, and can be equipped and swapped out between missions. Lancers can equip three gear in their loadout, one from each of the sections here.

Interceptor Javelin Assault Systems

Seeker Glaive: Throws out a razor-sharp projectile that seeks out the nearest target.

Acid Bomb: Tosses a grenade which explodes, splashing all nearby enemies with acid.

Cryo Glaive: Launches out a projectile that locks on to a nearby target and freezes it on impact.

Cluster Mine: Throws out a group of mines onto a targeted area which explode on contact with an enemy.

Spark Dash: Dashes forward, leaving behind a trail of electricity that damages enemies.

Interceptor Javelin Strike Systems

Star Strike: Charges an enemy with energy which explodes after a delay. The explosion deals increased damage if the target is destroyed before the full delay.

Plasma Star: Tosses a plasma-empowered shuriken at a single target, effective at long range.

Nova Strike: Sends out a projection of the Interceptor which will attack enemies it comes in contact with.

Tempest Strike: A devastating single-target attack that can stun smaller enemies.

Corrosive Spray: Sprays out a jet of corrosive acid that damages all enemies hit.

Interceptor Javelin Support Systems

Target Beacon: Marks a target for increased damage which will switch to another enemy if the marked target is destroyed.

Rally Cry: Removes status effects from all nearby allies.

Interceptor Javelin Ultimate Ability

Assassin's Blades: Lancers can deploy a special ultimate ability that displays the true strength of their javelin exosuit. The Interceptor becomes supercharged, arming its Assassin's Blades and carving through enemies at high speed.

Fast, Furious

With its lightning agility and powerful abilities, the Interceptor is able to turn overwhelming odds into certain victory. The Interceptor makes up for its scant armor as a true terror on the battlefield and an excellent addition to your javelin arsenal.
https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/anthem/news/meet-the-storm-javelin
A Sound of Thunder

The Storm javelin first arrived in Fort Tarsis as a rumor. Developed by the Dominion in their Northern home of Stralheim, the Storm uses a powerful technology known as "seals" to boost the latent kinesis powers of its lancer. The result is a javelin that can float effortlessly above the ground and unleash the raw energy of the Anthem. Only through painstaking arcanist research has anyone outside the Dominion had a chance to wield the awesome potential of the seal technology. And while the Storm can channel unbelievable amounts of elemental force, it has little in the way of defensive capabilities and requires an expert pilot to stay above the fight and dish out damage from a safe distance.

NOTE: As the game is still in development, all game features and ability names may be subject to change and there will be more to share. We'll update as necessary.

Storm Javelin Weaponry

Each javelin may have two weapons for their loadout, and can change them (along with the rest of their loadout) between missions. The Storm javelin is capable of wielding every weapon type except for Heavy Weapons (which can only be used by the Colossus javelin).

Storm Javelin Melee Ability

Every javelin has an innate melee ability which can be used to deal damage to targets at very close range. This ability does not need to be earned, nor can it be changed.

Fiery Strike: The Storm uses the seals on its arm to deliver an explosive flash that deals damage and knocks back enemies that have gotten too close, giving the Storm time to reposition at a safe distance.

Storm Javelin Kinesis Gear Abilities

The seals which are built into the Storm can use various gear to tap into the Anthem to release raw elemental energy in the form of kinesis abilities. Gear is picked up as loot during missions, and can be equipped or swapped out between missions. Lancers can equip three kinesis gear abilities total, one from each of the sections here.

Storm Javelin Blast Seals

Lightning Strike: A targeted strike that deals lightning damage in an area.

Ice Storm: Creates a field of ice that deals damage, rapidly building to a final explosion of frost.

Flame Burst: A quick explosion that deals fire damage at a target location.

Rime Blast: Fires out a flurry of ice projectiles that deal damage and freeze close-range targets.

Living Flame: A burst of flame energy that seeks out and ignites targets.

Storm Javelin Focus Seals

Hoarfrost Shards: Rapid-fire shards of ice that slowly freeze a target in place.

Fireball: A versatile fire ability that can be fired quickly in small shots or charged for a larger projectile that explodes.

Ball Lightning: A discharge of electric energy that can be bounced off of walls to reach targets behind cover.

Glacial Beam: Fires a beam of powerful ice energy in a targeted direction.

Arc Burst: Unleashes a blast of lightning that will leap to nearby targets for heavy damage.

Storm Javelin Support Seals

The Storm's support abilities play toward its strengths of damage evasion and damage output, helping allies stay safe and take down enemies faster.

Wind Wall: Generates a defensive wall of wind that deflects incoming enemy projectiles.

Nexus: Creates a field which provides gear cooldown reduction to teammates who enter its radius.

Storm Javelin Ultimate Ability

Elemental Storm: Lancers can deploy a special ultimate ability that displays the true strength of their javelin exosuit. Manipulating the raw force of the Anthem, the Storm emits successive blasts of frost, electricity, and fire -- ending with a meteoric finale.

The Eye of the Storm

With its elemental power and minimal armor, the Storm has a reputation for being a tempestuous javelin that can spell disaster for even experienced pilots. But ask anyone who's survived a fight with one and they'll tell you that there's no doubting the strength of the Storm. Whether the Storm suits your style as a pilot, your needs for a particular mission, or just your mood that day, it's a great addition to your arsenal of javelins.

Why does it bother you what people think about this game?

I said a critical flop. It will do very well sales-wise, just like Battlefront 2 and Madden.

Please do, I will as well.
(BTW, if they don't delay this game a few months, it will make my prediction even more accurate because no way this game is ready to release 3 months from now.)
And do you have access to information none else here does? Otherwise you're just making shit up.

I personally think the game is going to be big but the review scores will be average. These types of games become more scrutinized as more and more of them keep coming out. Each new one should squash the problems that other older games had.
If they can get the good parts of Destiny right(combat, art design, music mostly) and fix the shit that was wrong(story, real actual open world, mission structure, matchmaking taking for fucking ever, low content) then I think it could be great.

From what I've seen so far, the art and music leave a lot to be desired.

Can't speak for the combat because the bastards wont release a demo
