I'm so happy they're giving us a "season pass" option for this. I absolutely hated how the DLC pricing worked in the previous game.
I'm definitely gonna buy it, but the Rex Mii Costume stings as bad as the Spring Man Assist Trophy & the Ribbon Girl Mii Costume.
I assume that Piranha Plant isn't counted amongst the 5 since it's a bonus character, right?

FYI, Pirana plant can't be one of these DLC characters, otherwise the pass is more expensive to buy than each individual character if you buy the game at launch.
Costumes don't preclude characters being in the game, though, like how the Inkling costume exists.
Guessing we get two Nintendo characters and 3 guests.

Pirahna Plant is free when you download the game or register the gold points, and will only be paid DLC after January. Not part of the Pass.
Monster Hunter and Rayman would be amazing additions :) it was also pretty cool that they stated Rex from xbc2 couldn't be added since Smash Uktimate's dev plan was finished before XBC2 was announced.
I was going to buy all of the DLC fighters regardless so the option to save a bit of money is nice. I expect some fighters to come out of left field - especially since I'm p much disappointed with the final reveal minus Piranha Plant. Who knows who we'll end up with?
The adventure mode reveal was giving me strong Kingdom Hearts vibes. I imagine if there's some version of 3 being developed for Switch then Sora would be worked into the roster somehow. He's not someone I'd want but in a weird way he kinda would work. Still surprised there's no ARMS characters in the game. I didn't like the game much but give me Twintelle. She's cool.

I'm quite happy they're focusing solely on the base game right now. This is how all DLC should be developed.
