Anyone see this? She says over and over that "we will win".

edit: I don't personally think that this will affect anything one way or the other, nor do I have any problem with Pelosi. I just thought it was interesting due to her high degree of certainty

Really wish she hadn't been booked. I can see this backfiring so damn easily.

I mean, for the house she's probably right. And that's what she confined her answer to so...

Why are you doing this a week before the god damn elections?

I'm not saying it won't happen but this just stresses me out.

You fucking cunts are doing it again aren't you? You were tricked into hating Hillary, and now you're doing the exact same with Pelosi.

She is ABSOLUTELY RIGHT to say the Democrats will win, and as long as you cunts do your job like you catastrophically failed to do last time, then maybe they actually will.

The more I see her the more I hate her.

Shut up and urge people TO vote. Don't create complacency you washed up useless tool. Your fucking party has had 2 years to fight back and you've failed. 2 years to create a unified message and you've failed. 2 years to put up a real fight in the Senate and barring shocking, poll defying numbers you've failed (yes I know she's the Rep. Minority leader but she's also a leading member of the party).

Trying to take a victory lap at this point is everything wrong with the Democratic fucking Party and I'm so sick and tired of it.

I don't know if you people are alt-right concern trolls, or just the most pessimistic people in the world, but a lot of people on this website are getting played.

I don't often say this, but the fact that we can't even have a puff piece interview without people freaking out thinking that'll cost the election is why the Republican party is so strong, and that their propaganda is as effective on the democrats as Republicans.

Pelosi should keep a lid on it. Telling people they have it in the bag is a dumb move when you have a voter base known for their apathy.

Pelosi is hated as fuck. She's a rallying cry for pubs in general. But people getting twisted over this is... Kinda stupid.
Pelosi is a non-factor this election.

CNN's new poll suggests that Democrats may be overreacting. While the California Democrat remains a very unpopular figure, her impact on people's votes this November looks like it's going to be minimal.
Just 34% of registered voters say that Pelosi will be an extremely or very important factor in their vote this fall. That ranks dead last of the 10 factors asked about by CNN

I don't have anything against Pelosi. I just don't think anything is in the bag until it's in the bag.

Look, I think the reaction to this is dumb and Pelosi hate is over played, but when one in three voters sees just one person as an extremely important factor regarding their vote you're definitely a rallying cry for the opposition. Not THE most important factor, but that's not what I was trying to say.

I don't have anything against Pelosi. I just don't think anything is in the bag until it's in the bag.
What's she supposed to say? House is on fire and we don't have a chance?

I wonder what Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi have in common? Oh, right, both powerful women subject to many years of propaganda campaigns to fester a visceral hatred amongst the populace. Project confidence? Too arrogant. Be aggressive? Too bitchy. Don't make a joke? Too humorless. Make a joke? What the fuck is wrong with them.

They're not without flaws and deserved points of criticism, like literally any politician with half their accomplishments, but I wish any and every thread about either of them wasn't a constant shitstorm of unmoderated hot takes and drive-by posts.

I guess this is the part where Dems fall apart because a woman is projecting confidence and won't somebody please think of the "independent" voters' feelings.

The usual wording is something more like... We're confident in our chances, we take nothing for granted, but we think we're in good shape etc etc

That's what politicians usually say. Her insistence on it being in the bag felt conspicuous and unusual to me

What nonsense. They had no power. None. Zero. What did you want them to do???

Dems are running an EXCELLENT campaign this year. I can't see how you could argue otherwise. They have kept their eye on the prize and focused on one key message: Healthcare. Healthcare. Healthcare.

Do you see anyone going "Oh Pelosi says we'll win so I should forget about voting"? Like I'm trying to imagine a person in the political know enough to know that Pelosi even said this, and who Pelosi even is to change whether or not they vote and for whom over her saying "My party will win". Trump sure as hell didn't shy away from saying "I'll win" in 2016.

You are a problem, actually. People like you are a problem in the country who don't know what's right from what's wrong.

Trump can scream "Red wave! Red wave! Red wave!"

But the leader of the House Democrats can't express confidence in victory despite the polls giving us an 80%+ chance because it might ~~~activate the Republican base~~~.
