That port is amazing. I want it sooo much. :(I would triple-dip in a heartbeat on the port that came out for 360 and PS3 years back.

So we're at 3(in Japan) released, now we can assume stuff like Puzzle games are more likely to be released alongside other games due to lower issues. I think we'll see an accelerated release rate when possible at least 2 a month, otherwise we won't see wave 2 till November of next year!
The fortunate thing about that port is that since it's based off of Sega Racing Classic (basically Daytona HD but with all references to the Daytona license gone; they did this version before they got the license back for the HD ports) if they ever lost the license and didn't feel the need to get it back, they have a more or less lawyer friendly version they could release on their own terms, ala OutRun with the non-Ferrari sprite edit.
It'd be great to finally get a home port of Dolphin Blue. Sega owns it too.
This is the real news. :)
Sonic 2 was already announced. They also said they were aiming for more unreleased stuff that's never been ported beforeWave 1 might be over 15 games, I remember it being clairified as "at least 15 games". I'm expecting a lot more 3D Classics retreads to show up too (Sonic 2, Puyo Puyo Tsu, Afterburber 2, SOR1-2, Gunstar Heroes, Turbo Outrun, Power Drift, Fantasy Zone 1-2DX, etc) if not in Wave 1 then in Wave 2.
Would there be licensing issues for Virtua Tennis 2 or did it not use real tennis players? I can't remember.
Fantastic news. Both Virtua Tennis 2 and Crazy Taxi would be great to see.
What about a game never released on consoles.
Wild riders ( Naomi 2 hardware ) which combines Jet set radio Cell-shading style with Crazy Taxi fun.

They can have EA release a Star Wars Arcade Collection with the three Atari SW games, the three Sega SW games, and simulators of the Data East and Sega Pinball Games. Easy money.Browsed through the article with google translate, seems the Sega Ages team really really wants to port Sega Star Wars arcade(model 1) to the switch lineup as their most wanted model one game
They recognize the licensing is unlikely though
Actually now that I think about it, I'm not sure ea has control over legacy ports like his one(or at least aren't opposed) I mean on PS4 we've seen super Star Wars, pod racer's revenge and bounty hunter all portedThey can have EA release a Star Wars Arcade Collection with the three Atari SW games, the three Sega SW games, and simulators of the Data East and Sega Pinball Games. Hopefully at least one of the following will get to see the light of day: Scud Race, Daytona USA 2, Cosmic Shash, Power Stone (both of them), and many others mentioned in this thread.
Can someone help clarify this? I'd like to know, too.Actually now that I think about it, I'm not sure ea has control over legacy ports like his one(or at least aren't opposed) I mean on PS4 we've seen super Star Wars, pod racer's revenge and bounty hunter all ported
Top Skater was Model 2, IIRC.Did Top Skater was made under this hardware? because it would be terrific to get a console port

Agreed. The pop-up panels are a little too big and block the view, but otherwise it looks fun.
Oh, god! Just imagine the original Atari Star Wars vector game with gyro controls to replicate the arcade control yolk! I would be Day Negative Infinity for that...!They can have EA release a Star Wars Arcade Collection with the three Atari SW games, the three Sega SW games, and simulators of the Data East and Sega Pinball Games. Great, looking forward to those Cannon Spike and Project Justice re-releases.
Seriously, though, SEGA needs to re-release Sports Jam, Virtua Striker 2 ver. 2000, and Virtua Tennis. There are not enough sports games on this console. There are definitely not enough good sports games on this console.

So was Virtua Racing on the PS2 *not* emulation? I thought it was. There you go.
PS. I've somehow never played this before, should I add it to the list of shit I want M2 to port?

Yeah I have the original, never beat it though. I'd take both on switch in a heartbeatDynamite Cop is fucking absurd, especially what happens when you beat the game with two players.
Die Hard Trilogy is also dope as fuck. I'd buy both games again (I have the discs, but one should have multiple ways to play Dynamite Cop in one's home, IMO.
I didn't realize Sega Rally PS2 was ported? It even has freeplay, old 94/95 dates, arcade credits and the arcade region warning at startup?M2 have never emulated Model 2. They have done native ports of Model 2 games, like SEGA Rally PS2, but no emulation.
Likewise, I don't think that they've actually emulated any System 24 games before. I'm pretty sure that Gain Ground on Switch is the first time any System 24 game has ever had a proper emulated re-release.
I think you're right about the rest though. Virtua Racing Switch is also the first time they've ever emulated Model 1 as well.
