If this somehow gets Dinesh D'Souza to get kicked in the mouth, that would make this story arc even more legendary.

Attempting to defraud and obstruct the FBI isn't exactly a senior prank.

I'm not saying it is, just some people might remember when they 20 year old sheltered fools and see themselves in someone going down the wrong path. Its a bit of a thoughtless thing to post but the dogpiling shit is as always fucking ridiculous. Spoiler alert; dog piling someone on Era isn't making you a better person in RL and isn't a an accomplishment.

I'm pretty sure essentially putting your life on the line to frame the head of the special counsel of the U.S. with rape in order to protect white supremacy strays a little beyond "we were all young and dumb once". Lol

And something tells me randoms sending DMs isn't going to reverse what he's already done.

Just wow, calling people trash because they remember when they were 20 and stupid.... Some of you are nasty as fuck.
I don't really agree with calling the person "trash," but saying "he's just a 20-year-old kid making a mistake" is WAAYYYYYYY underselling this. Leave aside the fact that Wohl was already a fraudster as a teenager and is a grade-A MAGA shithead, he's knowingly attempting to weave a conspiracy to take down a figure of national importance. That's not a fucking "mistake." That's a premeditated crime.

Is this the final form of white privilege? Just ignoring reality punching you in the face a few thousand times to keep spouting the same stupid shit.

It's probably a form of the Kubler-Ross model. Desperately trying to shape the narrative in a way that doesn't make you guilty as sin - and getting increasingly erratic and fearful as it continues to not work - strikes me as near enough to bargaining.

I was never this stupid. I sincerely hope no one here was ever this stupid. The dog pile is well deserved, and is hopefully followed by a stint in federal prison.

Haha, chalk this up to the innocence of youth, right?

I guess I'm lucky I never walked down such a shitty path and rather simply drank a bit too much during college.

Running fraudulent investment schemes since age 18 and trying to spin a fake story to discredit the SC but hey we should be nice to him.

He's a grifter and a legal adult. Treat him like one.

It's good strategy to introduce as much muddy water into sexual offence accusations as possible, because it creates a vapor of distrust and reduces assumed credibility across the entire political spectrum. People on the right would attribute it to the media making stories up, or to women making up their accusations, while people on the left will now have to wonder 'is this real, or a right-wing scam'.

Since their supporters will continue to support them regardless of how amoral and corrupt they become, there isn't a downside to attempting this. Either it somehow succeeds and they take down an innocent political opponent, or they fail and they just weave it into their wider tapestry of lies about the dishonest media and lying women. They end up getting something out of it no matter what. Their aim is only to obfuscate and distort.
Damn it. God fucking damn it.

I'm mainly just annoyed with the dogpiling and calling people "trash". Wth Era.

Haha, so what were you doing when you were 20?

Being a fool on message boards, picking fights, throwing up all over and micky d's and bouncing, stupid but nothing like this kid.

My post is about how we're so quick to attack each other here, not the crime.

I had absolutely no idea who Jacob Wohl is before this thread (and I'm still not entirely clear), but I see a blue verified checkmark on his name up there. Just continue being great at being awful, Twitter.

I'm sure the person that was called trash by one poster will be fine.

Just as other posters are willing to try to pull an intervention on some dude before looking at what actually occurred. We're quick to do a lot of shit.

Also one "trash" comment does not a dogpile make. Also let the mods work it out if need be.

There is "going down the wrong path", and then there is "running several times down the wrong path in full sprint".

Wohl's case is the latter, and one look at his history would tell you as such.

Remember when that guy putting forward the "alternate Blasey Ford sexual assaulter" theory with google map and zillow screenshots was the craziest thing on twitter? Last month seems so long ago.

I mean yes, but, this would make sense until they made Mueller the target. There may and probably will be consequences for those involved since it's potentially interfering with an investigation by using lies.

You can't see a difference in what this person is doing?

People are using the word "trash" as a shortcut to saying "this person is doing bad shit." And how do you disconnect the person from the crime completely? I understand there might be some circumstance that leads someone to make bad decisions, but the crime will be associated with that person. It reflects on that person's character. How can it not? I think by 20 you should have enough sense not to do anything this dumb.

......

"I'm sorry I tried to commit fraud on a national level and concocted a scheme on a 4th grade level targeting the FBI and major news organizations. I was just 20 and it was a prank bro!"

White people get all the benefit of the doubt

ah, 20 year old rich as fuck white kid just making a dumb mistake.................NAH

fuck him, rot in jail
I remember when I was 20 and was banned from the financial sector for life, spent my time spreading White nationalist hate, and then attempted to obstruct justice of an active FBI investigation by making up sexual assault and attempting to make a mockery of the free press and women claiming sexual assault. Meh, kids will be kids.

He got his last word in like he wanted. There's no reasoning with someone whose solution is to walk away. Instead of mouthing off they could have just reported the post.

User warned: thread derailing and backseat moderation

Mod already commented.

You're coming off as being quite hostile.

No shit. You ever been dog piled? It sucks. Hence why I commented in the first place.

One member called another one trash and a moderator stepped in to issue a warning for it. What is the issue here?

Just wanted to chime in and maybe get people to think about not dog piling in the future.

Can we all end this here? This is derailing the thread. Again, I've had my say.

Also, next time you want to talk about me, just quote me! :) Thanks!
