I dunno, I'm a loyal customer and I think it's awesome Best Buy will be carrying some of their releases now.
Don't see how it is bad for anyone.
Well, as someone who buys only what I intend to play, with no selling, let alone profits, in mind — it makes those games more common and takes away from them feeling "special", in a way.
Yeah, it's purely emotional and basically bullshit....it's a good thing when there's more physical gaming for everyone. But I do get it.
All that aside...I was kind of expecting some nice announcements and reveals for LRG's birthday. Wondering if anything is still coming.
I still don't get it. The LRG one has a different cover and different print volume, as well as the availability of the CE, and cards.
If people really aren't looking to sell and profit, then it's still special because it's literally not the same as the Best Buy release.
True, and I'm not angry or disappointed or anything....just saying that I understand folks who feel the game itself becomes less special, due to much higher proliferation. Never mind cover variants or anything, but the physical game itself which had maybe 5000 copies in this world now has 20.000. For example. I can't argue that it makes a difference in some way, ridiculous as it may be.
why does the number of copies printed even matter? LRG is about getting the games you like in a physical format with only bitrot to worry about in 30-40 years time and no need to worry about servers going down,

I think looking at the number of copies is just in the nature of things, since it's always been communicated from the beginning. Butmplease don't get me wrong, personally I feel fine here. Well, I'd feel even better with more November announcements, but whatever. ^^
I think it is awesome also but I bought Golf Story without hestitaion from them as I thought only they would be carrying it. Now I can get it from Best Buy for 25% off and free shipping.
I couldn't even remember if I ordered the 1st Siralim so glanced at my spreadsheet. Oh, it hasn't shipped yet... Holds *sighs*
You'll be able to cancel Golf Story, so you should order it from BB in case it sells out soon.
I get that, but there's nothing stopping you from getting it from Best Buy for all of that and returning your order with LRG. They've literally done everything to cater to us.
In fact, that's exactly what I did.
I'm half debating taking a break from Limited Run games. I've gotten every Switch title because I thought it would be cool to have a shelf full of limited Switch games. But man, the output is becoming a little much. I'm spending an average of like 40 dollars a week on limited games that are sealed on a shelf. A third of which are games I don't even like.

It is indeed the case. LRG already sent out an official email saying you can either:
1) Cancel your LRG preorder; or
2) Keep your preorder and get a coupon for the next LRG purchase (No one knows how much the coupon will discount)
So if you want to cancel, open a ticket right now and they'll cancel it.
Not sure how I missed that email and I still don't see it but I just put in a request to cancel. Thanks.

Tentatively it's Rabi Ribi next week as we've already told people. Plus a Switch/PS4 game.
The 16th is either a break or a few games, 50/50 right now.
23rd is another Switch day with two PS4 games.
30th is a break or the 16th stuff gets moved there or the 16th stuff goes into December.
When's the super huge title teased for last month coming out? I'm curious as to what that'll be.
Reeeeeally hoping for Stardew Valley for that huge title... though it'll get a physical release from somewhere eventually anyways.
Stardew Valley's had a physical release (at least in the US) for a long while now.
Will we know the switch titles before the Outlast games are over. That'll really be the deciding factor on if I'll end up able to get the Outlast games or not.
What Shiz said, apparently only a $50 LE went up.
I'm hoping it got pulled while they reconsider that decision and put a SE version up. I'm still disappointing I had to get all the extra LE tat with Atelier Escha Plus and Ar no Surge Plus (not LRG I know, but still!)
That makes logical business sense. They gotta break even, and they can't do that with sheer quantity anymore. They have to do more with less. People will either buy it, or they won't.

They're more than breaking even with 1800 releases lately, why wouldn't they break even with Night Trap? Actually, why would they release a game where they wouldn't break even? It's what you said that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, as I'm sure you've been keeping up with the company as we have.

In my haste to get the order in quickly, I accidentally ordered 2 Vita copies instead of 1 Vita and 1 PS4. LRG offered to swap it, but support was slow enough that by the time I got a response, I'd already tracked down a PS4 version.
