Cool this is exactly what I was looking for, does it say specifically it's a demo on completion or something? I was worried that this would be a small side project thing and nothing else when I actually wanted a full on sequel. So the fact that this is a demo makes me feel a lot better about the whole thing.
It's say the rest is coming soon with no mentioned of release date. I can assure this is full game. And this one is just scratch the surface of this potential indie goty of 2019.
Just got here and Hopes and Dreams was my favorite song in Undertale sooooooo, yeah. I'm digging it.

Is this around the length of Undertale? I was planning to download and play it a bit during my hour long break between classes this afternoon.

Yes. Undertale's a relatively short game, has a free demo, and is one of the greatest RPGs of all time, so you definitely should play it anyway.

No its definitely a sequel, Apparently if you have an Undertale save on your PC it changes some dialouge, and Kris F's name is an anagram for Frisk whos older in this game.

Finished the 1st chapter, about being a sequel or prequel:
It seems to be neither, you talk to Undyne she doesnt know about Alphys, Sans says they barely moved to the town and Asriel is alive, maybe its a alternative reality? Also something chara like in the end as a teaser, I dont know whats going on.
But that can't be the case though. If you talk to Undyne after leaving the Dark World and ask her about Alphys, she mentions that she has no idea who she is. If you talk to Sans, he mentions that he just moved into town (and also gives you a phone). Also Asriel is apparently still alive.
So unless there are some memory-altering shenanigans going on, it's clearly a prequel.

If you got to the part where the legend is told, you already saw too much you shouldn't have seen if you haven't played undertale.
This is not a complete game, when its finished maybe a year later...

I've started deltarun again to continue in my lunch break and started again from the start. I've saved in every light but it didn't do anything. Or maybe the AV erased it.

It's alright, you lack the context for it to spoil your experience.

I think there should be a disclaimer on this OP for people who haven't played undertale because, oh boy, is it a huge spoiler right off the bat, and probably will also confuse people when they actually play UT.
Even from the early goings, it's clearly not a straight-forward prequel- Asriel's mentioned as being at university, which has nothing to do with the character's backstory in the first game (he died when he was a kid).

If this is a prequel, I think it might imply Chara was less an evil asshole and more a malevolent entity, given how he was seemingly possessed to removing his soul. Even if it's a sequel it feels like it bears a similar implication.

The town is in the overworld, Asgore and Toriel are seperated despite both their kids being alive, and Asgore is living in a run down Flower Shop instead of being King, Kris and Asriel are both older than Chara and Asriel were when they died prior to UT, and Undyne/Alphys work normal jobs.

Weird, i tested the saving on my pc and it worked, i even took a break for breakfast, you sure you didn't accidentally run the installer again?
Yeah, that's what I'm guessing since I felt he was telling just some random story, maybe when I'm playing Undertale I'll end up lining the pieces of the puzzle and get spoiled without wanting. But no problem. Let's get it!

This seems like an alternate universe thing rather than a straight forward sequel/prequel. It'll be interesting to see where they go with it. I wasn't expecting to see a bunch of other characters show up when you get to the town. I thought it might just be Toriel and divorced father Asgore
It was cool that Laura Shigihara did the credits song as well. I presume there's a longer version that'll be in the main game/episode 2.

Beat the game.
I think this game won't be as praised as Undertale because it seems like it's going to have much less of a meta narrative. Susie kind of overpowers the entire experience and she kind of rocks back and forth between "troubled kid" and "violent psycho" at the drop of a hat.
So I'm guessing Ralsei is another one of Toriel and Asgore's kids, and that this is an AU that Gaster fell into after being kicked out of the universe in Undertale.
I remember there was a lot of strong theories that Chara was the narrator of Undertale and I really liked them, so I'm lowkey hoping that this doesn't prove them to be the evil.
Maybe it's a post-Genocide run world? That'd certainly explain Kris' resemblance to the unused sprite for a post-Genocide Frisk in Waterfall.

I know He/They/It said not to discuss it, but if this is "Chapter 1" of the next game I hope our save carries over. I mean, going by some people here it's only about two hours, but even still, I don't want to repeat two hours of opening I've already done.
