Think it looks good. Coming fresh of the Phoenix Joker reveal thread I thought people would be more conservative with their criticism on a costume test.
PC players remember this geralt.
I remember ugly ass Lizard face Geralt from the in game model. They really Longbottomed Geralt in the games. He's a weird freak in the first game, gets handsome the second then gets smoking hot in the third.
speaking of CDPR, remember when they first showed Cyberpunk 77 and people were foaming at the mouth because 'it isn't set at night', and 'it isn't raining'

Well it sucks for you if you don't care about the books, haven't read them and want to watch a show that will not have much to do with Witcher 3.
Unfortunately they haven't figured out how to turn Cavill into the real Geralt yet.
I think it looks okay. As others have stated, this is just a make-up test. I don't believe they've gone into full production yet, so things will continue to evolve until they nail the look. I still have confidence this show is gonna be pretty good. I'm really excited for it.
Yeah... I think the majority who's complaining didn't played W1 and W2 at all.
If this is an indication of a subversive parody it's the best serious treatment the material could have to get views and status.

What's that from? Aside from how silly he looks swinging the sword, that's a much much better looking Geralt.
I didn't mind Cavill's casting but he looks off.
After a brief discussion on the moderation team, we've decided to have all Witcher TV show threads in EtcetEra unless the news explicitly mentions the video games. As this is a TV show adaptation based on the novels as the source material, not the video games, and the fact that TV show threads belong in the traditional place for TV shows (EtcetEra), this will be the status quo going forward. Apologies for the confusion.
Good stuff, makes perfect sense as the show is not adapted from the games.
