Still banking on something bonkers like an Everybody Votes Channel stage with a gimmick where a vote is won by characters spending longer on one side of the screen than the other
Man it would be a huge L if the last character reveals are Ken and fucking Incineroar. Why not save K. Rool for the final reveal ?
I would love any crazy stages. I'm just as excited for seeing new stages as anything else. Those Wario stages are great.
they specifically said they would show all characters before release. What we get in the Direct is what we end up for the base roster.
Nah, there will be atleast one big announcement, betting on Skull Kid and maybe Sora.
I agree on 1,3,4 and 5, but I don't think we'll get a new Pokefloats. And for 5, I hope it's Mira.

Characters don't need Directs to be unveiled. Like I said there's no guaranteed. I think a lot of people are gonna get let down if they think Sakurai isn't going to have any secrets going into the release.
If I try to not be TOO MUCH influenced by insiders, here's my roster prediction.

Could see Shadow as echo... But I could totaly see him being dlc and getting the semi clone treatment. I feel like he deserves it, he's popular af. And I want his down special to be a counter roundhouse kick :
If Geno ain't in base game, then he'll be announced asap as being the first DLC newcommer.

They all shoot Hadoukens and do uppercuts. All you need to do is add flames to Ken's and stuff. Ryu and Ken are borderline carbon copies, at least in SF2.
Isn't he called violent Ken? God that was so dumb.
He's basically been an Echo Fighter of Ryu since SF2. Akuma at least looks different visually and is some fodder for edgelord fans.

Sakurai tweeted two words.
First, "やりますよ", or "yarimasuyo". Yarimasu means "I'll do it", yo adds some emphasis on it, so basically "I'll do it!".
Lastly, "最後です！", or "saigo desu". It basically translates to "It's the last one", with saigo being translated as last one. This can mean last before release, or last ever, but it's the last something.
Just to make it clear what he actually said.
Honestly, if they put Ken in, I really hope they make him more similar to a Falco type clone instead of an echo fighter. Ryu in smash has moves ken has never used in any game before. Sakurai usually has that level of care when adapting characters for the game.
I thought about this for a while... I think Traverse Town would be pretty cool, I think The Awakening is pretty likely.
Some boss predictions
Nightmare, fought on a modified Fountain of Dreams. His AT is missing and Sakurai seems to like him. I think there will be a Kirby boss. Nightmare makes sense, as he's highlt mobile and can have varied attacks without just stealing 100% his moveset from Kirby
Ultra Necrozma, fought in Ultra Megapolis (just a flat rooftop in a city, not an actual stage to play on). I feel if there's a Pokemon boss, it's a toss up between Ultra Necrozma and Mega Rayquaza, and I think Necrozma wins out.
Death Egg Robot, Eggman is an obvious choice for a boss, and Death Egg Robot is iconic, along with having an HD model that fits Smash's style that they can re-purpose.

Anyone out there still with me on the Grinch leak? Captain goes down with the ship. Insiders have been wrong before.
It would be nice if Smash Ultimate had a network in place to share custom Stages and Fighters easily. The main thing holding me back from Soul Calibur VI is knowing it's a bit of a chore to get hold of other people's custom fighters.
Plus I'd like to have access to several Grinch Mii fighters on launch day.

Oh I can see the counter being a kick for example rather than a punch and so on, let's see how it plays out.
I got you. No Poke Floats when Sakurai probably knows it's a beloved stage gives me hope we're getting a sequel with new Pokémon. Because that's an old stage. We've had so many Pokémon since then.

NoA are the only ones to have said it's the last before release though.

Pokefloats probably missed out because it was literally just floating Pokemon Stadium 2 models, and upgrading those to be 3DS models would have probably been a bit hard, especially for Pokemon that got drastic proportion changes, like Squirtle.
