I have a feeling reviewers are gonna roast their ass this time.
Is that surprising? Hopefully they fix this by Starfield/TES VI. They are working on a new physics engine, so I sure hope they stop tying the framerate to the logic (it has its uses believe it or not, but there's still too many cons).
Yup, sure sounds like Bethesda. They're the only major company where I'll go out of my way to either avoid their games or buy them used down the line. Lost count of how many times my save was deleted on Fallout 3 and Skyrim.
This thread made it clear to me that Valve deserves more than a 30% cut for content sold on Steam.
I believe the Windows Store was doing this too with certain games like Gears of War 4, so it isn't exactly unbelievable.

I find this more baffling than usual because they already had 90 fps support for Fallout 4 VR I believe.... so now it's back to this. Though, funnily, my game runs at at 83 fps cap by default (I guess because of my high refresh rate) which makes me a little faster than my friend who is capped at 60.
Also to add to this: the mouse feels absolutely awful, with once again no ingame options to improve it. It's the same shit every time.
About 10 years ago one of EVE Online's updates deleted the boot.ini file from Windows, lol. It happened to me. Although you could launch and play the game, if you turned off your PC/restarted it wouldn't boot again. It was only after many people realising this and the coincidence being that we all played EVE that it became apparent.

From my previous experience with their launcher, I can't say I'm surprised at all. Actually, I was absolutely expected for this shit to happen, and I fully expect that PC launch would be a massive disaster mainly because they launcher is pure garbage and won't be able to handle the launch of such massive game is Fallout 76. So yeah, who needs Steam with their undeserved 30% cut
That explains why I was sometimes speeding up lol. But I think you need to get well over 150 fps to notice it.
I expect Bethesda to force lock the game to 60 anyway now.
Thid game has very high skill ceiling.

As funny as I find this, it does give me a newfound appreciation for how polished their full releases are.
