On a good day with perfect weather and absolutely no wind, I could shoot the broadside of a barn with the barrel up against the barn. /s

In all seriousness, I'm probably not very accurate, but I also never want to shoot my gun anyway. While the family still has the .22 rifle from my childhood, the only gun I consider mine now is an Ortgies semi-automatic pistol, which is a German gun from around World War 1. I don't like the idea of shooting it and would certainly never use it for my own defense because of the unusual safety. The safety switch is built into the handle of the gun and is turned off simply by holding the handle tight enough, and it doesn't have to be held tightly at all to turn the safety off. I definitely want to keep it as it's kinda old and was passed down to me from my grandfather, but I am considering removing the firing pin (or otherwise rendering it inoperable). That would definitely happen before I would allow the gun in a house with children.

12ga w/ flashlight mounted. 25feet. I pray I don't find out either way in my home. Nerves will make anyone's hand shake like shit.

At the range? Average at distance. I hit paper consistently lmao. I'm not John Wick. I don't shoot competitively. Pistol is harder for me than long guns as well.

I was usually a sharpshooter marksman in the army, 34ish out of 40 at the m16 range. So pretty good but not amazing. I suck with pistols though, never got the hang the of em. Barely qualified at the m9 range. Hands always jerked. John woo movies are a lie.

Not bad at 50 yards in semi or full auto. However, the targets I shoot are reactive targets. So, they're pretty big.

I have a M1928A1 and I am 100% accurate with all shots on full auto at 1000 yards
I'm sorry, but I'm calling bs on that. I've shot several M1A1s in my day. The. 45 ACP drops like a rock. I've had to elevate the muzzle considerably just to get to 200 meters. So, 1000 yards is rather impossible for that cartridge.

I don't own a gun anymore but I was a deadeye in both prone and kneeling for marksmanship class in school and some low level competitions. Unfortunately my standing shot was not as good. I had people that told me they could help me zero that in too but I wasn't interested in that path in life anymore especially after the Army recruiter started fucking hounding me.

My man. What a trash post.

I'll answer with my truth. No one needs a gun. The situation we are in means many folks have them. It'll take time and a process but we can do that.

Over the next 20 years we can remove them. It'll suck and kids will die....people will die. But we do it for the ultimate better.

Guns suck.

The owners of the company I'm consulting for own some guns and they invited me to the range a few weeks back. I've never held a gun before, let alone shoot one.

Anyway. I was told to aim with both eyes open. This was the weirdest thing to me and it was that moment I realized I'd be better off fending off intruders with a katana than a gun because my wacky astigmatisms wouldn't let me focus worth a damn.

Tell them to fuck off then. You have the chance.

I'm pretty good with rifles, though the only long gun I own ATM is a Ruger 10/22, which anyone can pick up and shoot.

Handguns, I'm decent with a Glock. I've also taken some sporting clay shooting lessons. Was able to get two Clay's with one shot once. Was more luck though.

I got a pellet gun at 12 same as most kids my neighborhood. My eyesight isn't perfect but I have a steady hand last few times I target shot I'm always tiny bit left but will carve a hole in that one spot

I have shot multiple types of firearms and am accurate enough in a target range, but I doubt what I say here will count in a stressful situation:

I can shoot up to 50 meters with my lever-action rifle and Mauser bolt-action from a standing position center target the majority of the time while only using the iron sights. I sucked with an AR-15 the one time I rented one, though it was an indoor range and I could not for the life of me aim down the sights properly with my headset ear protection on; I became even less interested in one after that.

My pistol aim is unreliable due to me having tremors in my right arm and my left hand; it has never been an issue with shooting rifles or shotguns, luckily. At best, accurate up to 25 meters on a good day and only with triggers with little pull. The more I have to pull, the shakier my hands get. I am not consistent with my aim enough to consider anything other than protection at 10 meters with a 1911 Government model; the weight and trigger pull help a ton in regards to steadying my hands.

Not sure if relevant, but I can clay pigeon shoot just fine with a double barrel shotgun. I can handle 00 buck shot shells just fine, so I won't fuck up when it kicks.

I'm not much else other than a target shooter and, while I do have a carry license, only carry when I feel the need arises (such as carrying around a purse and a $300 camera with equipment such as a tripod and carrying bag for all the other equipment so movement is limited, if anyone has any suggestions for alternatives to this I'm willing to listen.)

I was told the same, to aim with both eyes open. But I had better accuracy when I closed one eye. so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Before I sold mine, I couldn't hit a stationary target from 10 feet away. Crossbow I was pretty good with.

I own an AR-15, an AK-47, a 12 gauge shotgun and a number of handguns. I can shoot a 2" group with my AR at 100 yards. My AK is just for plinking. I'm very accurate up to 20 yards with any of my pistols. I average ~90/100 when shooting sporting clays with my shotgun.

I have a SIG550 because of my military duty in switzerland. I shoot 20 bullets on a 300m range once a year. Thats about it. There is a minimum amount of points you have to get and I havent failed yet, so I guess Im average?

I've been going to a target range every few weeks for almost a decade now. Was originally just for shotgun and pistol practice, but they've expanded in the last year or two to include all sorts of other firearms and the guy running it has a big collection that he's put together over the years to help teach gun safety with. They have a bunch of scopeless single shot, bolt-action rifles that I put some time in with, as well as an old Single Action Army revolver that I absolutely love but would never actually want to own.

I'm not fast, but I'm pretty accurate from prone and kneeling with the rifles from any distance, and not bad standing with the revolver. Standing with any of the rifles is kind of a coin flip for me. Could go great or terrible on any given day. I have found certain ones I do way better with when I keep just one eye open, and others I need to have both eyes open... which has been weird getting used to as I had originally learned with just the one eye.

I bet all these posters are the same ones with 10 inch dicks. Era, the place of Gods. Well endowed and the deadliest group of people with a gun in their hands.

They based the bullseye character in Daredevil Season 3 on me.

I've never fired a gun though, I just like killing birds.

Don't have a gun. Did a shooting gallery at an army recruitment festival once with an M4. Been pestered about joining ever since due to being such a top notch shooter.

I have always been good with composite bow shooting.

I competed in marksman competitions growing up with .22s and shooting skeet with an overunder shotgun. I mostly shoot bows now. I typically have a <4" grouping at around 50 yards with a bow.

With my Mossberg 12 Gauge I'm solid within a range of 20 feet.

With your basic 9mm I can hit a target under 30ft no issues. If that target is moving the variables increase inaccuracy 10 fold but I can also move to better ready my aim.

I fought a similar battle, until I realized it stemmed from being cross-dominate. I shoot left eyed but am right handed, and it contributed to difficulty shooting handguns. Aiming down a barrel with a shotgun for clay sports was suuuuper easy. Once I figured out my sight issue on handguns I just made small adjustments and sighted in a bit differently and it "mostly" went away.

Heh, this is exactly my issue with the pistol as well. Can't see shit with my right eye, but am right-handed. So for rifles, I just switched sides, which was an easy change. Not so easy for handgun shooting though. Hoping to get out to the range to work on it sometime before the holidays...we'll see.

My hands are registered lethal weapons because of my numerous black belts in the most dangerous of martial arts; but just in case my foes wish to assault me at a distance, based on my tight groupings and extraordinary kda in annually released hyper realistic online war simulators, a long ranged assault would be as fruitful as a short ranged assault against me. It would not be fruitful. It would not. Would not. Not.

Not really accurate, barely go to the range. I think last time I went shooting was a year ago. I own 5 guns with different calibers but the most accurate is my AR-15 which is a S&W M&P15, that one is surprisingly accurate, i can hit with precision at 50yards plus without magnifiers. My 9mm needs to be calibrated though, i feel that my shots are slightly off target even at close range

It'll become more natural with practice, but ya its a tad of an uphill battle.
