Imagine having this kind of joyless existence.
Listening to the GameXplain "speculation" video intently because they've all but confirmed they have insider information. The British dude in particular loves to say "predictions" as if he's guessing when he's just saying shit he's heard, and mixing that in with joke predictions. The sense I'm getting from them is that Ken/Incineroar are definitely in, but Andre and the British guy doubt Isaac, and the Brit doubts Shadow... which makes me sad. They're also doubting Banjo... which seems obvious.

It's entirely possible if not likely that Sakurai tried to get Sora and Erdrick before Geno and things didn't pan out due to licensing.

Whatever the outcome, I feel confident in saying Sakurai probably wanted to hit the sweetspot of 70 unique characters total for Ultimate.

In fairness, they didn't predict that the leak was a mariotehplumber trolljob. I came to that assumption myself based on what they were saying about mariotehplumber's relationship with the leak.
Feel free to ride the Geno hype train, but they think he may be DLC.
GameXplain put themselves in this awkward position where they either have to "predict" what they know or purposely predict what isn't in the game, this video is probably a mix of the 2.
I've said it before, I'll say it again. Kingdom Hearts without Disney is a husk. Including Sora without anything from Disney just feels wrong and antithesis to the series. Now, Sakurai may be okay with bending the rules for background, moveset, or AT characters so I'm not saying Sora would be a bad pick. Just, to represent him properly, you need that stuff.
And I'm sure Sakurai knows this, too, so. Don't get your hopes up unless you're okay with Donald and Goofy in a FS or something.
Anyway, I trust Emily above all these other people, so it does seem like the Grinch leak is fake, so now I wanna know- how'd they do it? Such skill for a fake with very minor inconsistencies that are easily explained away is nothing to snort at.

I think they'll want to end on some kind of fan favourite like they've done with Ridley and K.Rool. I'd guess either Banjo if he's in, or the Square rep.
GameXplain guys unanimously doubt we'll see a new Xenoblade character on launch.
50 minutes in, not one of them mentioned Geno... which actually might be a good sign.

They (not sure if all) seem in for Geno but some think he's likely just DLC.
Again, the Disney characters created for Kingdom Hearts are original. They share their appearance with the original Disney characters, but they are part of Kingdom Hearts' world. It's a similar situation for Dracula from Castlevania: he is a character originated from a book, but this particular Dracula is one of the countless recreations of the character made specifically for a videogame. So I would totally be OK to see them in, even if making them playable would be a little too much.
