So...multiple characters from the banner are apparently real, multiple characters that exist are apparently not on the banner, and multiple characters on the banner are actually AT....and some on the banner just don't exist.
Sounds like:
- Shadow
- Geno
- Isaac
- Ken
- Incineroar
- Skull Kid / Sora / Elma
- Chorus Kids as an AT
- Mach Rider as an AT
- Banjo doesn't exist.

I think that Chorus Kids, Mach Rider AND Shadow are assists.
Which would line up perfectly with both Mystic and Emily infos.
Then you've got Isaac, Geno, Incineroar and Ken in.
Banjo is the one character that was 100% fake.
I think we're missing one echo fighter that was never hinted at.

She said multiple aren't in the game at all and multiple are assists.
So at best, 3 characters on that banner are in.
If what mystic's saying is true, those three are Ken, Isaac and Geno.
Decent summary, but Shadow might be either AT or echo. I also wonder if the final unknown character is an echo.

Chorus Kids are an assist for sure, I can feel it deep within my hugh bones. And the hugh bones have never been wrong.
Why would Shadow remain an Assist Trophy when Knuckles exists? There isn't any need for him to be one, he's redundant with an item and redundant as a Sonic Assist Trophy.
I'd probably swap Isaac with Shadow, but I otherwise agree. As cool of a dude as Mystic is, he was a bit flip-floppy about Isaac to the point where I fear that he may not be certain about him.

As pessimistic as this sounds. Shadow's assist trophy wasn't complicated at all.

Nah, the way she talked it's certainly over 2 ATs. If you want to believe in Geno/Isaac, then Shadow goes instantly to AT bin.
It was easy to keep a bunch of Assist Trophies between Brawl and Smash 4 and they didn't. Excitebike was literally just sprites that moved forward.
Yeah if Shadow isn't playable then I wouldn't expect him to be an AT anymore either.
He'd just be replaced like Elec Man.
I'm starting to think the outlier for this banner being "fake" is the Chorus Kids. Their art, while a brand new render, looks more align to an assist trophy rather than the standard mural art. Even Mr. Game & Watch which is a similarly flat character has moral style art. I wonder if the leaker took the real banner and put the official render of the Chorus Kid AT in it because he was salty they weren't playable hence the "FUCK NINTENDO"
I like this post! I'm feeling like Shadow is 100% fake as well though. That lines up better with Emily's info about multiple characters not being in the game at all.

Remember that echos haven't really leaked much (Richter, Dark Samus and Chrom did not leak). Also, Emily's been pretty generous with her info. I think she'd state if they were an echo.

One thing I've learned over years of doing this: Never discount Emily. Her info is legit.
Well, the 3DS was probably an issue here if I had to guess. It spawned a lot of objects all at once. Even the cuccoo doesnt have that many.
Assists like Barabara stand out more. her attack was pretty distinct (only DK's final smash comes close and thats still pretty different), not intensive in the slightest, there's no weird co-ownership and she even had a 3ds game
Reminder that the devs are japanese and likely don't even care about Sonic secondary characters much. Just keeping Shadow as an AT isn't a big deal to them and that may be why they didn't even bother showing him before.

Almost no one believes in that image anymore. The game is almost here and I'm fairly certain the insiders all are aware of the actual roster and how wrong that image is. Let it go.
