I could have missed something but I think people are getting overly excited. People were discussing that it would be strange if Isaac returned from Brawl to just be an assist trophy again, Ryce pointed out that Grey Fox did, and a few people seemed to think that was a confirmation although Ryce says he doesn't know any assist trophies and was just participating in the discussion.
I ask because I'm wondering if Banjo being in the base game means that there would be an agreement to keep him in permanently, rather than DLC that could be delisted.
Emily stated earlier that one or more of the supposed playable characters in the Grinch leak are Assist Trophies. Isaac is a likely candidate for that.
Golden Sun's camera angle in battle specifically evokes the original Shining Force games, of which Camelot developed the numbered entries in:

Basically. Ryce was just saying that there's precedent for it, meaning it wouldn't necessarily be that strange if Isaac became an AT again, but nothing he said was disconfirming Isaac at all. That's solely people just making their own guesses
Regardless of the outcome come Thursday, people should just be happy to have a Smash Direct, have excitement to discuss the roster additions, stages, and modes. Right, wrong, or otherwise shouldn't matter. Everyone is looking forward to the game and we can unite with that as a common ground and look forward to the game's launch.
Sakurai has already said he thinks twice about what he tweets. If he thought twice here he'd know what people would think, he's more knowledgeable about Nintendo than most here. And yet he tweeted it.
Yeah, we're all here for the love of Smash. Or at least I think we are. The "teams" are divided over a pretty trivial issue that we're probably going to forget soon after the game comes out.

I know there are people that are, for reasons I don't understand, aggressively anti-geno, but I'm pleasantly surprised that even 20 years later people still Stan that little puppet. I never would have guessed support would still be this strong after I'd completely given up on him after Brawl.

How do you know his leg is getting pulled? Dismissing anything on its face as "complete nonsense" is just begging to be proven wrong, like the people who laughed about "no DK reps" the night before the Aug. 8 Direct.
I'm suspicious, the rumors of Minecraft content to Vergeben had to have their roots in something Microsoft-related, and they surely weren't making that effort for STEVE.

Geno was and forever will be my Mario RPG mvp. I picked up and mained mii Gunner for awhile when his costume was added. I've always wanted him to be back .
I got the Mystic and Emily Rodgers stuff but what's going on with other leaks and rumors after the banner/grinch leak stuff? What did Ryce and other insiders say?

I think so. The mushroom would work too but I think Mario RPG is such a different beast it could use a different icon.
His theory about replacing Inciniroar with Banjo when talking with Microsoft this E3 is completely flawed unless they delayed the game. Wasn't that how they added Sonic? Last minute addition and they delayed the game for that inclusion.
