Was onboard since predebut and 'Whistle' sealed the deal. I've liked few groups as quickly and as much as I've liked Blackpink, KARD and Dreamcatcher. Succeed or fail the latter two have toured more, released more music and taken more stylistic chances while Blackpink have largely sat there as YG does YG things.

I'm only just now getting into TWICE. Wish I could give a useful vote! All I know is Momo is my favorite visually. I can't imagine ranking members of 3-5 groups, let alone 9.
It's super uncomfortable to watch. What is YG thinking when we know the track is a common Teddy one?

I haven't been a huge fan of the last three BTS releases in comparison to their past work, but they continue to get bigger and bigger. The engine drives itself.
Anything Blackpink releases will be a hit.
I quoted both posts together for a reason. I'm responding to both statements in tandem.
It's literally nothing and over 500k views in less than 2 hours, because it's Blackpink and that's how hype works for popular groups.
Some initially defended her on the grounds of saying that she was supposed to be Princess Mononoke but the costume designed messed it up. That went up in smoke the moment someone translated her intro where she introduced herself as "Indian Jihyo". But most i've seen have had the correct response and have said it wasn't cool while some are going as far as to send JYP messages about why she shouldn't have worn it. The costume was weird when you look at the other girls. All of them are dressed as fictional characters from movies while she's dressed as a Native American. It's like she got invited to a Halloween party but no one told her what the theme was.
It's not bad. Pretty mature debut song if u ask me. I expected a lot more from the chorus though with such a great build-up in the pre-chorus. It was getting pretty hype and I was ready for a big drop, but it got all mellow in the chorus lol.

It's... not good. It's exhausting that we are still having to point out issues in reducing the entirety of a historically and presently marginalized culture that has suffered countless atrocities down to a Halloween costume that someone can put on for a night in the same way that someone would put on a Batman or sexy Luigi costume.
People always act dismissive about this as if caring about stuff is bad somehow.
Someone in Korea started a national petition to ban IZ*ONE from appearing on Music Bank due to the group's association with Akimoto Yasushi and his alleged support for the Japanese far right.
Honestly, if groups were banned from music shows due to any connection with shady individuals, I'm not sure there'd be anyone left to perform.
In other news, I'm waiting for somone in Korea to start a national petition to ban IZ*ONE's newly unveiled fanclub name 'WIZ*ONE'.
Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE has unveiled its own fanclub name 'Neverland' which is pretty bad but at least it's not WIZ*ONE.

I agree that it's no worse than average. I guess my point is that the bar for these fanclub names is so low to start with that even the average ones are still kinda awful.

Not a lot of changes. Battle for #3 is still going, gap between 1 and 2 is not as big anymore and spot #6 seems up for grabs.
