I should really play Undertale. The fanbase has subsided and that was the only reason I avoided it.
Its a really charming game with an incredible soundtrack.
Never really had any bad run ins with the fans, just mostly seen a lot of amazing shit like this:
Though I'm sure there are some out there that got real fucking weird with it, this being the internet.
I just remember when the game came out have obsessive and abrasive the fans were and while its dumb to not play a game because of the fan base it just put a bad taste in my mouth. Kinda like how for a time I hated being associated with Steven Universe because of the shitty part of the fanbase. I know the music slaps, though. Probably go ahead and buy it on the Switch.
I started this game last week and I'm currently stuck on trying to beat the final boss of genocide.

Its amazing how many lil details there are in this game.

Aw, I don't have a completed save any more thanks to having had to reinstall windows. ...I think I might have one on my aged, decrepit laptop, though. Maybe I'll drag that thing out to do whatever this winds up being.
I can't remember where I brought Undertale from. Was it originally available to buy through the main website directly? (I didn't buy it through Humble Bundle.) It seems like I have a copy on Steam, but the only option is to start a new game. Huh. I'm not sure what happened to my completed save.
The plan would be not make it a direct sequel to the game.
Im serious here, if the game is indeed undertale 2 as opposed to its own thing, do not have any direct reference to the original save for it taking place in the same universe.
I'm normally not much of an RPG guy but Undertale was my favorite game of 2015. Absolutely stellar game. Look forward to whatever Toby is working on but I do hope it isn't Undertale 2.
Toby's tweets directly reference some of Gaster's dialogue and hint at Suzy too, so it will for sure be something related to both. Whether the game or whatever is coming is a direct sequel to Undertale, who knows, but it'll definitely be related in some way.

-I have never done a genocide run
-if i press buttons like normal it plays the title screen music, last time i played in pc i completed a true pacifist run so if it was getting my save file it would not play any music at the title screen because it would be empty as per me clearing the pacifist run

most results about such problem have people assuming it's the blank screen from the genocide run
This game is the result of a stretch goal from the original's kickstarter. Toby's been planning for years.
I still can't believe I saw the Kickstarter when it was active and decided to not back it. The game wound up meaning a fucking lot to me and it sucks knowing my name could have been in the credits ;_;

If there is a sequel or same-universe game someday, I think it would be cool if the idea of You, The Player was the only constant throughline, your role being the [Mad] Max or wandering samurai used as a tool to introduce the audience (well, also you) to a new set of characters and circumstances.
