Jesus christ that looks amazing. That's some base PS4 level shit
This doesn't look that good, but I get it, it looks good for a mobile device.
you're getting an actual computer, not a lame console with a worthless libraryCool, graphics than can match a One S for, what, 3x higher cost?

My guess is that RAM will be the achilles heel of the iPad Pro. You can have an amazing processor and stuff, but, without ram to back it up, DESKTOP apps will still be limited.

They should make an official controller if they want to go after consoles so badly.
Looked like 30.
Lol, sure if you want it to cost about $2,000. I doubt we'll see this large of a tablet go OLED for a few years at least.
And 5 years later. I don't understand why they're pushing that angle. It's so dumb.Cool, graphics than can match a One S for, what, 3x higher cost?
The games designed for mobile are a different beast altogether. That is part of the problem. If they started bring the console versions to iPad this could be a lot more exciting.Eh, if I recall, there is still a gap between this and console NBA 2K.
Still impressive.
Yep cause it's not like you can do 30x the shit you can do on an Xbox or anything, nope.Cool, graphics than can match a One S for, what, 3x higher cost?
Now that would be a megaton. Apple needs to support Xbox/PS4/Steam controllers officially.
I'm hoping it will be same price or very near. All in all, it's all upgraded specs, but it's pretty much equal to where the old Pro was. Screen is a bit bigger, but the CPU upgrade over the iPhone is the same, still a 120hz LCD, etc.I'm afraid of the price lol
This is definitely more powerful than the air. They should really start using these chips for everything.
Has Apple designed their own "real" game controller yet? I feel like if they did it would be huge for gaming on iPad

Link to this.Well, IIRC, the MFi spec now allows for R3/L3 button presses so we're getting there.
It really only means you can output at 4k, no other technical implications whatsoever. Also comes with HDCP, so Netflix and the like will work. The GPUs in the new Mini setups aren't really that good (especially in terms of memory bandwidth), but I don't have benchmarks ready. Mirrored output should be possible, but don't expect 3D-applications rendered at 4k.What does that mean for the layman?
Also, I wonder if it'll be powerful enough to output 4K to my UHD TV without lag or if I'll have to use 1080p non-retina to get a good lag-free output. Even my 2013 MBP couldn't output 4K mirrored to my TV without being so laggy. Only once I switched to 1080 did it run as well as when I'm just using the laptop itself.
That is still what holds me back from making it my all in one machine. The iPad has a lot of grunt, but it still has no mouse support, a crippled accessible filesystem, and runs iOS. It's not going to be able to do the use cases that power would help with unless those change.
Can an iPad fully replace a Macbook? I'm not sure which to buy.
