A good mix of modes, solid online, a roster that excites me, and strong gameplay. So far the roster is a mixed bag. I don't care much about everyone returning as I've played as most of those characters enough to know I don't want to play as them again. The newcomers are okay, honestly the strongest part is probably getting to play as the DLC characters from the last one I never touched. Need to see some good final character reveals and modes that don't seem like I'll just get bored of the game after a week or two. Fingers crossed.

I love Smash directs. There's such a great mix of serious information and quirky insights, recapped details and brand new reveals. There is no never "one more thing" than the final few seconds of a Smash direct.

That was DLC. They couldn't end the DLC Direct with just a trailer for a newcomer (since they were selling it and needed to show all the details), which they can do for this Direct.

Hopefully there isn't a negative reaction to what they show. The leak seemed to have give people impossible expectations

I hope Sakurai starts the Direct by announcing that he is legally changing his name to Whacky Hero Soccer Guy, and then he just continues the Direct without elaborating

I don't expect this Direct to end on just a newcomer trailer.

This is the final Direct, and Sakurai said he was intending on revealing "the design" of every fighter before release, not just newcomers themselves. If the final newcomer is a big deal like people have been implying, possibly a new franchise altogether, they're most likely going to detail them on the Direct.

I would imagine that if anything is gonna close out the Direct, it'll be the game's opening cinematic.

How much would they have to detail Incineroar? He's a wrestling fire cat that does wrestling fire cat moves from a series that has had newcomers every game.

The last Smash Direct was packed and was 27 minutes. This Direct is also being followed by a Treehouse demo where they can show of a new character that is revealed at the very end, if they do that.
