Well, it just seems that some insiders pointing at Incineroar and Ken being in so there is one more new character that aren't on Grinch Mural Leak? Did I get it right?
Wii U wasn't that much better, was still worse than playing it offline which is always a given but it never felt like there wasn't a noticeable input delay whenever I played online even with a good connection.
I mean it'll be fine if it was them trying to get Microsoft's foot in the door and he was sort of agreed to be a neutral pick and Banjo could be DLC later.
If the Banner AT is Banjo and Steve is in then that would be the thing that would get me to say Fuck Sakurai. That would be insanely tone deaf and out of touch with what people wanted that I'm convinced that's not possible.
I think Emily said there was one character from this banner that's an AT.
If it's as good as Mario Tennis Aces it will be at least decent. Fighting game netcode is a bit harder to handle though. I would be cautiously optimistic, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if Nintendo messes it up again. They're just sort of notoriously bad at this kind of thing.
Just going to say that everything Emily said was already said by Mystic a yesterday (2 characters not on the banner, an AT on the banner) and he went back and forth on his claims in multiple tweets and DM's.
My point is, I won't be entirely shocked if the leak is fake, but pro-fake people shouldn't be shocked if Insiders are wrong or just missing information. ESRB is proof that, especially when many Insiders said it was wrong because Mewtwo and Lucas weren't in the base roster, and we know how that turned out.
As a result, Incineroar and other "missing" character could easily be DLC and the AT could just have been mistaken as an AT (I've already heard theories of people confusing Excitebiker, who is possibly back, which Mach Rider, 2 completely different characters).
I cannot believe Sakurai would put ANY Microsoft character before Banjo-Kazooie. It would be like if he put another Sega character before Sonic in Brawl, or any other Capcom character before Mega Man in Smash 4.
Steve is likely someday, because Banjo is in. But Banjo is first, and I would even say at that point, Master Chief or another Rare character is next.

Mach Rider was never mentioned by Mystic in any capacity so I doubt it's the AT.

Honestly if that AT part was wide known by alot of insiders it could explain why so many insiders were confident the Grinch leak is fake because that is a weird thing to get wrong if this person had info or advertising material.
With that said if Jonneh maybe knew that there is hope for Issac fans because GameXplain did speculate about the Sprout being from Golden Sun so that could maybe point to Issac not being the AT.

For those who inevitable will ask for a summary regarding what happened in the last 8 hours, here it is:
- GamingINTEL, website with aproven track record of previous leaks, says that sources tell them there will be 2 Nintendo Directs this month, with the first happening as soon as this week. This has been backed up by various insiders.
- Nintendo shared some info at they Q2 financial earnings report. In this regard they are in a little of trouble, just been selling 6 of the proyected 20 million by the end of fiscal year. They have 6 months left to sell 14 million Switches to meet expectations.
- Adding to that Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa have said that the current focus of the company is growth, pushing on DLC and online content, as well as create a diverse portfolio to attract non-gamers.
- Following with Furukawa, he told there are not any Esports plans yet, all holiday titles have been announced already, no Nintendo IP will appear at Dragalia Lost, more than 50% of Switch user have bought an anual online plan, and Fortnite is "doing well".
- On the insiders stuff, MysticDimensions got in hot water after revealing too much info that was later disproven as false by his own sources and his livehood was in perill for this, you can read more about this in this thread.
- The most recent new Theory doing the rounds is the Playlist Theory, brought up by steveng86, claiming that the spots left on the Music Playlist for Smash fits with the seven characters on the Grinch Leak, you can read more about it here.
- Emily Rogers, known insider and ERA's own, talked again about the Grinch leak, saying that the leak "can't be met halfway", adding fuel to what has been said about one of the characters being an Assist Trophy.

That's the only way Geno being an AT makes sense. They chose a different Square character and decided to give Geno fans a bone with the AT and the Mii costume.
Makes more sense then Issac who had more demand and is a Nintendo character

Wait for annual or for overall subs. I can believe annual subs being under 50% but not overall subs.
unless the AT is Geno or Banjo it personally makes no sense to me that they wouldn't have been revealed yet. Geno alongside Sora or Banjo alongside Master Chief reveals would be run, like when Bomberman was shown off with Snake and Alucard with Simon.
Imagine if we've gone all this way and they just announce that Shadow is an assist trophy again.
Shadow is such an obvious echo, being an AT would be weird. Especially with Knuckles being in the game.
Mystic said that he heard about Geno being in alongside Isaac and that there was something specific deconfirming the leak. It's likely that he meant the AT by that, and it's likely Mach Rider.
You are right, just checked the original source and it is more than, I just got that from GoNintendo saying "less than", my bad, already fixed.
Of all users who bought Switch online, over 50% bought an Annual Plan.
I'm not sure how much we can take from Mystic's comments at this point.

It also makes sense for Banjo to be the AT because GameXplain assumed he was the fake thing about the leak when it first popped up, and assuming PapaGeno's source isn't total shit Banjo may be involved in some capacity.
