The game is not registering a full R2 trigger pull for unknown reasons, I have to hold R2 and mash all the face buttons to draw my weapon. Or you can switch to alternate controls.
Hopefully they fix it but I'm not holding my breath.
I've heard they can be found south of Annesburg, eastern part of the map.
automatic is just putting the cursor over enemies, it will mark those enemies automatically.
when you have Dead Eye at a higher level it becomes marking with the right bumper, after that you push the trigger to shoot all marked enemies. its more or less like Max Payne´s bullet time and really fun to use.
at an even higher level you can see vital organs like the brain or the heart through Dead Eye to get more lethal shots in
Long press of options button brings up map. Or use the companion app.
I guess they wanted camera change / cinematic camera to be prominent, and for you to navigate with your surroundings more.
I actually shot and killed the only one I have seen so far, and it was just outside the first camp on the other side of the tracks. I haven't seen one since there, or anyplace else./

At first. I just make sure to clear all the white markers of the map before progressing with the yellow story missions. I'm currently on chapter 6 and don't feel like I've really missed anything major.

that is what you recommend? I am trying to do that as well, clear the white spots (like bounty, gunslingers) before moving on.

I need to do the The First Shall be Last mission to advance the story but I am wanted dead or alive in blackwater. I get gunned down soon as I enter. Need to pay off this bounty but don't have the funds. Any tips on how to raise cash quickly?

The hunting is much more complex than i expected. I like it, but if you want to get upgrades and the best costumes from the trapper faster, well good luck.

I grew fond of my old Arthur bear. I usually don't like beards, but with the proper mustache and classy clothes it fits him well.

My horse is perfect though, tall and big. I tried an Arabian stallion and it felt like i was riding a pony... i love my Sugar Plum... even though i hate horses. Quite an achievement for Rockstar.
It's what has worked for me, although I've still probably missed quite a few things. Another thing I've noticed as well is the big story progressing moments tend to be Dutch missions (not always,) so keep that in mind.
I tried a few times, spent 30 minutes on it, and it didn't work on my PS4. I followed 2 guides (the one posted here and another on video). I would always only retrieve only 2 gold bars.
I let it go, i didn't need the money, the game gave me plenty enough in trinkets and other valuables to resell at fences. (i did the gold chase for the 2 $500 gold bars). Gold bars only fetched $300 when i tried the glitch in chapter 4, and i have pristine reputation.. do the fences pay less when you are a "good" guy ? xD
Isn't that good? The + means it makes the drain rate slower.
As opposed to things like being dirty or w/e that are - drain rate.

So the game finally clicked for me yesterday, took me about halfway through Chapter 2 for everything to settle in. I'm still struggling with combat quite a bit but with practice I think I'll be ok... I've never actually had such a hard time adjusting to shooting in a game before and I've been gaming damn near my whole life.
Either way... once you stop trying to play RDR2 like a GTA game, Call of Duty, or Fortnite game and slow the hell down, it's actually quite an amazing experience. The world here is beautiful and it deserves to be taken in slowly and methodically.

I understand what Rockstar tried to do here. Don't get me wrong. They wanted to create the most immersive gaming experience ever. And - in a way - they achieve to do so. And props to them. Again I'm very happy that you enjoyed so much, and so many others to.
However - in my humble opinion - by being so immersive Rockstar forget the gameplay in the process. And I'm one the many gamers who simply cannot enjoy a game if the gameplay is not right...
Rockstar could have at least given the option. Do I need to see the animation of a body EACH time I loot it ? That makes no sense. Yes it's more realistic I guess, because in real life, you would indeed need to search a body one by one the same way. But this is a GAME that tries - to a fault - pretending it's more than a game. And actually by doing so, the game contradicts itself by adding things that are NOT realistic at all : following tracks with "Eagle Eye Vision" or slowing down time with "Dead Eye" when shooting. Where is the realism in that ? So Rockstar can't have it both ways, your horse die if it's too cold, but you have auto aiming ? Come on now...
But as I said earlier. I'm invested in the story a lot, so that's why I keep playing. Even if I still dream the game had better controls. Because if it was the case, this could have potentially been the Best Game of all time...

At the beginning of the game I wasn't paying much attention to Arthur's health and became underweight to the point he walked kinda limpy. I've been eating 4/5 times a day for above a month now and while not limpy anymore I'm still underweight, any advice on how to get to a fit level?
