Especially if you also have a PC and/or other system like Switch.

So my PS4 is installing and downloading update for RDR2 as I type this. And I kinda realized that, outside Kingdom Hearts 3, I don't really have anything to look forward to after this one. With next-gen consoles in the horizon, I believe it's a good time to sell my PS4 sooner than later since I still have my PC. With most Japanese publishers on board with PC, I'm not gonna miss most upcoming games outside of exclusives. And with the rumors of PS5 going to have BC, it makes my decision to sell my PS4 soon even easier.

What do you think?

Edit: 2nd poll should've been "First half of 2019", can a mod edit it please?

Man, isn't there a whole slew of PS exclusives coming out soon?

I think that you already missed the boat of max TiV.

Enjoy the system.

Shit, I always mess up my polls. It should've been first half of 2019.

Yeah, Ghost of Tsutshima, Days Gone, TLOU2, and Death Stranding. The first two are coming early 2019, while the other two are probably late 2019 or even 2020. It's kinda hard decision to make indeed. But the as I mentioned in the OP, if PS5 is having BC and I'd be more than okay to play them on PS5.

Pro is an exclusives machine for me, so I might just trade it in when the first good deal pops up after PS5 is announced, provided BC in confirmed. Doubt I'll get much, but I'm more concerned with having fewer plastic boxes to deal with anyway.

Edit: When was a release window for Ghost announced?

If u getting next gen machine they always do bonus trade in offers during launch preorders. Plus, in the fall they will do upgrade trade in bonus like the recent red dead trade in special.

Sooner rather than later. If you sell it now, not only will you get more money than tomorrow, but you will save any money you might spend on it in electricity or online or potential games.

I however wouldn't sell mine.

Probably now since the price is still high.
Once next gen is announced, I'm expecting output to slow down and demand too.

Now perhaps? Every big title that comes out from this point will probably get remastered to fill out the release schedule if last Feb was any indication.

You are going to take a hit regardless. You may as well wait till trade-in deals for the new consoles start happening.

Whenever they have a trade-in promotion towards either new console, which would probably happen a few months after launch.
