UK is £3, over 50% less if you can get someone to gift you.
Should I take this personally?

So that's my tentative cart - I will probably still buy something else, I'm in the mood for a narrative adventure indie game but I can't find anything that I haven't played at a price I'm fine with.

Anyone here have a "must have" mods for the witcher 3?

I have a list (I haven't played the game yet, but I saw an article on a webpage recommending some of these):

- High Quality Faces
- Improved Signs
- More Blood
- Ultra Grass
- STLM
- The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project

The short answer is no.

The game's fine just as it is.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with any of the mods that Endruen mentioned (and several others besides) and I wouldn't discourage you from trying them, but I wouldn't call them essential and they're all the sort of thing that's best appreciated on a second play-through.

WBacon give us a sign mon, at least let us know there's progress made in investigating these Megaman 11 issues.

I'll check with community/customer support person. Is there an active forum thread you can point me to discussing the specific issue at hand?

Either way, if it's a widespread issue I'm positive they've flagged it as an urgent matter and escalated it to R&D. Usually they'd ask for details such as the user's system/OS/driver information via DXdiag system log so they can attempt repro.

Update: it appears the MM11 boot-up issue was caused by a corrupted save file.

Here are the recommended steps to get around the issue:
  1. Backup the following save data files by copying and pasting them to a safe location (such as the Desktop): GAMEDATA.bin / REPLAY.bin / SYSTEM.bin

Save file location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[YOUR STEAM ID HERE]\742300\remote

  2. Right-click on "Mega Man 11" in the "Steam" library and select "Properties"
  3. Disable "Steam Cloud Synchronization" setting under "Update" tab
  4. Relaunch "Mega Man 11" to see if the game runs properly
  5. If it fails to relaunch, close the game's application.
  6. With Steam Cloud Synchronization turned off, delete the save data in the original Steam folder, including GAMEDATA.bin, REPLAY.bin, and SYSTEM.bin
  7. After deleting the save data, relaunch the game and create new save data
  8. Close the game's application after creating the new save data
  9. Relaunch "Mega Man 11" again and see if the new save data can be loaded properly
It seems the above steps helped mitigate the issue for some users:

Metal Gear Survive isn't too bad. Especially not at that price. I'm playing it right now on PS4.
Don't expect a actual Metal Gear game. But as a spin-off it's pretty unique and solid.
If there's any real complaint about the game, it's that the whole "survival" aspect feels like something that was made to cash in on a trend they were already late to. I stand by the game would've been 10x better if it was just MGS Zombies.

It has
  • 7 challenge tombs
  • 7 weapons, outfits, and skills
  • Multiple narrative side missions
So much content. Woo.

So assuming the content is about the same as the base game's (a reasonable assumption based on how most games handle DLC) we have:

7 tombs that will require very little thought and take about 5 minutes each to complete

More fetch quest side missions from characters who play no role in the story and have no use to Lara.

and junk that has no real reason to be charged at all. Will she at least get new weapon types or just more variations of pistols/shotguns/rifles?

Depends really how much time you have/want to sink into dense RPGs. The first game is quite good and worth playing, but if you think you really only have time/inclination for one of them then definitely jump straight to 2 imo.

A good compromise might be to play the first act of D:OS1. I think that's easily the strongest part.

Blah, yeah I waited too long to play it I think. Doesnt seem like PoE1-2 where you import your character and stuff. Unless you do i guess.

I watched a preview of Fallout 76 and it does have quests, which I wasn't clear on before. How much of an overall narrative it will have I'm still not clear on but I'm a little more intrigued.

I might have purchased Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy off of CDKeys a while back when it was dirt cheap and used a VPN to activate it since it was region locked.

The game won't launch because of region restrictions, but I've heard this is lifted after 90 days. Can anyone confirm this still holds true?

It is worth pointing out since no one explictly said it, that the stories are not really connected at all and you won't be missing anything by not playing them in order on that front.

However, as other said, the mechanics changes in DOS2 over DOS1 are significant and generally for the better. You will be spoiled on that end if you go back to DOS1 later on.
