We've been receiving threats of physical violence over this partnership. We understand that it may be frustrating to people who would have liked to use their Gamer's Club discount on Yooka-Laylee and Golf Story, but we would appreciate it if people could maintain an open mind about this. We're going to make sure that we do right by our fans! If this partnership does not end up being the right move for us as a business, we won't continue to pursue it on future titles.
If it's like 3DS there should be two options; bulk card or finished goods (which adds 90¢ per card). Nintendo offers the cheaper bulk option for publishers that want to source their own case/inserts/assembly. Maybe Wii U only offers bulk discs now though?Switch carts come game card only, they have to go about packing them themselves.

the hell is wrong with these people, getting mad about more people being able to buy the game? i thought the limited run market was mainly for adults and not kids
No, because if they were ordered through the site like normal, they'd be paying full price, which obviously isn't the case.If we were not working directly with Best Buy – nothing is stopping them from ordering through our normal channels since these games are manufactured to demand.
*After pre-orders of both games have already been taken, one of which had no notice of the Best Buy deal at all, and the other only a small blurb in an email newsletter. Nothing on the product pages.want to make sure that everything regarding the Best Buy partnership is clearly and concisely communicated.

is it not the usual digital price + $10 for LRG to make money and fund physical production? i think they're 32gb carts each too so i doubt LRG will be making muchSo I saw no mention of the Outlast games on here. They went up today and i'm saddened to know that Outlast 1&2 are not sold as one. I mean they are but it's $65!! Outlast 1 is $30 and Outlast 2 is $35. This kind of breaks my heart and now I don't know what to do. What is coming up for Switch in November? Any ideas? That might have to be my deciding factor.
Hot take here, but the only people pissed off about the BB deal are people who care more about the investment/perceived rarity of LRG than actually having a physical game to own and enjoy. LRG working with BB is a win for indie gaming and I'm happy they're expanding.
Tangentally, I'm surprised how many games I've been skipping lately. There's just so much stuff that I already own on PS4 and can't justify double dipping on. Ah well, at least some of my long awaited preorders are finally shipping.

Underestimating "hot take" as it totally is as you say. Why else would anyone be mad, since plenty of people have had their GCU subs end already, so that's on Best Buy. This is grest for physicsl copies in general, in a world where the big companies are all "hey buy our digital deluxe copies!"

Oh man, so did they manage to source the original art for the Vita release? That's great! Personally, I much prefer the original art to their reproduction, so I guess I'm going to be double dipping.
It would be cool if they offered that cover variant for the PS4/Switch versions as well, but ahh well! I'm just happy that they managed to release a version with it at all! :)
What ever happened to that 32X colour variant of the PS4 cover, by the way? I remember hearing that it didn't end up happening, but I don't think I ever heard why.

i asked josh last night and it's pretty much down to their releases requiring a new ESRB rating which Night Trap ironically avoided but the Vita and switch versions got them due to the fact they would've gone through a seperate rating to be released on LRGI'm pretty sure it was cancelled since it would have required an ESRB rating.
Re Proteus:
Josh also says further up that Vita games can be ordered through February? Might be time to start asking for more recent Vita stuff!
that it isI see they added an actual bundle for Outlast. That's kind of nice, even if it's probably just a piece of cardboard.
It would still need a product code already and his wording makes it sound more like some games might not get ordered by February. Don't get your hopes up.
So this has now surfaced too:
Poppy Works have teamed up with LRG before on Factotum.
Wonder what's going on.

Huh, it's working for me.
Anyway, can't get the source up because I'm on my phone, but it's basically Josh saying Poppy Works are wrong and it's February as expected, plus no new physicals can be requested.
Nope, because I got it as an image in a twitter chat. And can't remember my mighty rabbit forum login details to check josh's posting history (also might not be mighty rabbit, might be cheapassgamer or something, I can't really tell)
Edit: here's a different source
probably tapped the wrong button, i do it a lot when posting tweets on hereHuh, it's working for me.

There isn't a fixed charge, it's based on size/weight/destination. In the USA the minimum is $5.50 and can fit a couple games at that rate, international starts around $15. Just plug some in-stock stuff into your cart and start checking out to see about what to expect.I can't find it on the site, but can anyone point me to where I can check LRG shipping costs/info?
When will the next Switch titles start to be sent? Especially Thumper and Yooka-Laylee I mean.
I can wait for the rest but I really want to play those two.
