However, what is even more interesting is the following parameter:

PARAM_Oculus 0000000002F7FC10

This is the first direct evidence of VR work related to Red Dead Redemption 2. I looked inside the files for the Android app myself and independently verified the Oculus mention. While it's far from proof or confirmation, it does indicate that Rockstar Games could be at least considering some form of RDR2 for VR. Of course, we can't rule out the possibility this is just sample or template code that somehow got included by mistake, but we certainly hope it is evidence of proper VR support for the game's eventual PC version.

This align with HTC's tease that Rockstar Games still have something for VR
This parameter specifically refers to Oculus, not VR, but HTC's Head of Vive Studios Joel Breton recently told us that Rockstar Games was "not done" with VR, which may suggest that if RDR2 doescome to VR, HTC Vive users would not be left out. We were very impressed with Rockstar's first VR game, LA Noire: The VR Case Files (which released on both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive), giving it an 8/10 review.

Weird to see "Oculus" in there. Not to jump the shark about RDR2 PC, but I haven't heard anything about Oculus and any of the consoles being associated together.

Wasn't sure about this game but now I'm very interested.

Hopefully it doesn't make me motion sick like Skyrim does.

So first they're going to get people to buy the PS4 or Xbox One version, then later down the line buy the PC version, and then even later down the line buy the VR Edition on PC.

the triple dip strategy

Rockstar releases GTA San Andreas.
Bethesda:"Not a Sandbox, but a theme park like open world you say? Hold my beer."

Bethesda release Skyrim on everything.
Rockstar:"we can sell the same game over and over again? Hold my beer."

Rockstar:"GTA online is like GTA V, but with multiple players randomly thrown together and a cash shop."
Bethesda looks at Fallout 4:" EUREKA! Fallout 76!"

If it is VR, it will be for PC and next ten systems. The frame rate is way too low for it to be currently tolerable in VR.

I might be tempted to buy this if they do a full VR version. Hopefully not Oculus exclusive. I don't really wanna use Revive if I can help it.

Probably not possible due to the famerate requirements. So no, they are not "stupid" if they ignore PSVR.
They've made 30fps games into 60fps for VR before but it looked pretty bad. That said they'd probably need help by Sony so I don't see it happening but they'd be missing out not to try is what that user is saying as it's by far the largest user base for VR.
