Since the latest update, missed check points don't reset my vehicle (as previously mentioned). Tonight, I discovered that this also affects flipped cars - i.e. If your car gets stuck, you're SOL. To rub salt into the wound, I was then kicked for inactivity (even after holding down the throttle).

So yeah, I'm gonna take a break from this game, as these issues are frustrating me lol.

Yeah I found this out. Checkpoints dont reset and if you flip your vehicle, tough. Happened just when I was about to get finish a Freeroam Rush. Flipped in the most annoying/comical way but then sat there scratching my backside as my car refused to flip.

Trying to 100% the game now. Its a lot of fun but get 100% in every PR Stunt achievement is going to cause me so much stress, particularly getting 3 stars on all the drift tracks...

We are currently aware of the issue relating to a vehicle being unable to reset and therefore causing 'inactivity' after the recent update. We're looking into this and apologise for the inconvenience this is causing to your gameplay

Horizon Solo is really fun compared to the online freeroam. Drivatars are back & plentiful. There's also traffic!

Edit : Fix Honest typo. English is hard.

Why cant the clan join be an in game search? I hate when the game forces you to leave the game to do something.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but is there an 'ending' as such? FH3 rolled credits after beating all the showcases.

The closest thing to an ending, I think, is unlocking the Goliath race after hitting Road Racing level 20 in My Horizon Life. As far as I know, credits don't roll after this but it's the last significant thing most people are likely to unlock.

Otherwise, basically keep playing until you're tired of the game. Horizon 4 is subtly but significantly more of a "play forever" game-as-a-service game than Horizon 3 was.

Is that Lambo worth 300 Forzathon points?

i mean what else are you gonna spend forzathon points on? Just launch the game 8 mins before the hour, the forzathon events happen exactly every hour on the hour and only take about 5 mins and if a lot of people are around you can just do the first event once and afk until you collect your 30 (60 VIP) points.

I'm sitting on like 3500 forzathon points and no idea what to do with them, i don't give a shit about wheel spins. I loved logging in every weekend during FH3 to do forzathon but I kinda feel completely detached from FH4 after a month now.

This is an interesting take on it.

It seems to me that having an "end" is no hinderance to having a "play forever" GaaS, so long as you have a ton of and continue to add end game content, which id argue FH3 had plenty of.

That's true, but I don't think FH3 had anything like the seasonal events in it, unless you count the weekly Forzathon stuff that I didn't get much of a chance to play with. If that was as significant as the seasonal events we get now, then forget I said anything.

No I agree with you. I feel like FH4 was more consciously designed to be a GaaS, but I feels like a "myfellowkids" attempt where they traded things that kept fans logging in previously for things superficially attributed to GaaS.

We'll see how it works out in the long term, but for me, I suspect class based rivals from previous games will prove more effective at getting me to play continuously than Forzathon Live and Seasonal events will ever be.

OK thanks. Guess I'll play until I'm tired of it then. Normally I use the credits as a signal to move onto the inevitable other great games in my backlog.

Was wondering this too. I usually buy the Forzathon shop FE car right before the end of the week, but isn't the Lambo Reventon unlockable through skill points from another Lambo?

What thediamondage said is how I feel too. I have so many points that I just buy everything they offer every week because there is literally nothing else to use them on.

(btw, great fuckin name. Love Stephenson's work, own literally every book he has ever written. lol)

Antique Restorer is glitched for me. I have 14/15 barn finds and it's not up to 90% (I didn't buy to speed up restore or buy any cars from AH)

at least you get barn finds, myself and a few other people don't have barn find rumors ever appear so we are at 0/15 or 1/15 - you can buy the antique castle to spawn that one, but no other ones will show up. Oh well, figure they'll fix it some day.

I haven't been playying often lately and don't have much interest wasting time on the Forzathon events so I only have about 1000 points.

I have not had much time to game lately, but played a bit of the game today, which is the first time since the update that contains the route creator. Anyways, I was driving around looking for roads I have not been on yet and after about 20 minutes of driving around I realize there are no AI cars on any of the roads...actually there were NO AI cars at all. Prior to the update, everything was fine, but not sure what is happening. Anyone know if something got turned off after the update?

yes same here I have had many many sessions with absolutely zero cars on the road with me and Horizon life since the update.

no idea what's going on I'm just taking advantage of it for some skill points LOL

yes I hope they sorted out I haven't even heard anyone acknowledge that it's a problem yet but you're correct it's a ghost town not just drivatars but no traffic whatsoever

Just done my first Forzathon last night which was great, but I can't believe only 5.25% (or thereabouts) have only acheieved it . I miss the old system where you got a car anyway (in FH3), not liking these Forza points way of doing it. Loving the game still, just feel some of the changes from FH3 to FH4 were not the best. If I get one more clothes, emotes or horns in my wheelspins, I will scream.

I'd love to play this! I live for quality custom tracks :)

Unfortunately these things are super hard to find from the in-game menu. What should I look for?
Honestly I'm not sure. I don't know how the track sharing works.

I'll have a look and see what staying point I used later though. That might help.

Can you guys help me learn how to drift? I've gotten far in the game and have only 10 achievements left with one of them being the drift challenge and I've done literally none of them yet.

I don't find them fun or engaging but then I see some videos of people who drift so effortlessly that I realize I haven't given it enough attention to learn so that I could enjoy it.

I drive automatic but I've seen it said to properly drift I'd have to do it manually. Any help you guys can provide? Video tutorials? The best cars to drift in? The tunes to use etc.

The Aventador has been my main car since the original Horizon, so I'm pretty happy about that spin. There's still room for improvement, but my wheelspin game has probably peaked.

Cosmetics are more common than cars and credits, so it's clubs to get pretty loud in your house lol.

I wonder what the ratio is to people who hate getting RNG cosmetics to those who love it to those who are indifferent

Turn off the driving assist, put it in manual, use one of the Formula drift cars.

I also sucked at drifting, I just brute force them all to the 3 stars rating. (Takes a long time)

Indifferent, low credit rewards seem worse IMO. At least I'm collecting cosmetics.

i once got a superwheel spin that was 5k, 10k, 15k credits. ironically after that I did the goliath glitch because i just didn't care anymore

Another small patch today, still hasn't fixed that weird bug though where you are in a forza live session with a ton of players, you go to the forzathon event, and none of them appear. You're like in this weird partitioned forzathon with nobody else. It happens about 30% of the time to me and it sucks.

Doesn't seem to fix the "no barn finds ever" bug either.

Does not compute. There are hundreds of cosmetic items. Realistically, the average user will use just a handful of them. As such, The vast majority of the cosmetics one collects will end up providing no entertainment value whatsoever. It feels like I've gotten nothing...

Low CR rewards still contribute to a pool of CR that is useful... Whether it's to buy cars, tunes, homes, or fast travel. Sometimes It's not much, but it's always better than nothing.

Haven't played for about a week.

I stopped because I kept having audio static/crackle and could NEVER find any multiplayer games....

Were either of these addressed?

Turn off all assists, switch to manual, and stay in third gear. Balance the throttle and the e-break, rewind if needed. I don't think the car itself actually matters too much.

I just did this one after about 15 minutes of failing and immediately trying again.

This is totally what it feels like while doing them though:

Good drift vehicles are light and have wide tires, and good engine swaps.
And for good measure, some drift footage in a heavy, but wide tire vehicle.

Here's a strange glitch for you all.

In the right conditions (seems to be dark, low contrast, and high exposure) photo mode will flicker the contrast a little bit, and for some bizarre reason it exposes the car's wireframe:

lQWnOLW.png

I have no idea why it'd show up, maybe some kind of dev-only UV mapping template? But it's pretty cool and strange.

What setting do you have steering? Simulated or normal? Also, what inputs and which direction should I be steering? I'm having a hard time staying in control and usually end up spinning out or losing speed.

Hi guys,

I'm installing this game right now, I don't have a ton of friends on Xbox so if you want to add me I'm Squall5042, I'm also joining the ForzaEra Club but wanted to introduce myself here!

Also I'm terrible at racing games but this looked like too much fun :)
